Electric Teeth so pleased..the teeth aren’t bulky, they don’t make me sound different..it’s amazing how different I look 👀 ..and you’re right I’ve gotten so used to not smiling fully to having a full bright smile..😃 it really is life changing..I can’t recommend enough..I’m the worse dental customer because I really fear the dentist and have purposely avoid it. I know it stinks. I too am losing my teeth. Dentures from the dentist are expensive. So can't get them there. I was looking online. Easy Dentures charges $300. That is for both top and bottom. You fit them yourself with hot water. You put the dentures on your gums. It creates mold that with denture adhesive will stay in. You can eat and drink with them. If you can get dentures from the dentist. I recommend that you do that. The dentist can make sure your bite is correct. Any adjustments you need. My husband just had the rest of his pulled. He has no teeth right now. I won't have any either for several months. But with income tax refund. We both will have dentures. In few years we can each get better set. No more infected teeth. Sounds great right now. If my husband who has vascular dementia. Can do this I can do this. It all will be okay it is just going to take awhile. I hope you feel better soon.

Some humor to go with your false teeth ... Born in 1968 Brian began his career in funerals in 1985. … From the book … Wooden Overcoat … author ~ Brian Woodworth. Back to Almond Court where my Grandad, who had very poor eyesight at this stage, realised that he had sent his teeth to the undertakers, by mistake. He had tried to put my Nanna’s teeth in his own mouth and only realised when they didn’t fit. Even though my mother was devastated by the death of her mother, this still made her chuckle every time it was mentioned. The story goes on, after Grandad realised he had tried to put the wrong teeth in, he went to Laithwaites and asked for his teeth back - only to be told they had already been placed in Lilly’s mouth. ‘I don’t care,’ he said, ‘take them out and put these in!’ I was told he entered the toilets, swilled them under the tap and then went and bought a fish from the chippy for dinner.

There isn't necessarily a solution that will work for all. You can make your dentist aware if you have a gag reflex issue. You can practice and take it slow. One of the most convenient options would be to seek out a dentist who can complete this procedure with 3D mouth scanners rather than taking an impression.

@@ellewright6991 Have you tried contacting a Dentistry school? It would be *alot* less expensive. I'm not sure if they do it in New Zealand, but I know they do it over here in the US. ✔ Hope you're doing okay & feeling better. 🙂 (In your first comment, you mentioned the pain you were in.) I know what you're going through. My teeth have been giving me trouble for _years_ (I'm 49), and last week, I finally said "To heck with it"...I called a dentist and made an appointment. Last week, (my first appointment) they did about 10 X-rays. At my appointment earlier _today,_ they did my impressions (top & bottom). In 2 weeks, I go back for my "bite-block" (a wax thing you bite down on), & at _that_ appointment, they'll schedule me for my extractions (13 of them). I'm scared (!!!) but I know I have to do it, so I'll just have to focus on "the after". At least I'll be able to smile back at someone when they smile at me, instead of doing a closed-mouth smile or waving at them, lol. Anyways, I hope you're able to check into the dental schools over there. Good luck. 🙂🕊️

It depends. A dentist can carry out an assessment and give personalised advice.
It sounds like a partial denture will be most appropriate. So if you have a natural tooth left, the denture has a gap in it for that natural tooth to still be in place and used. The natural tooth isn't covered by the denture itself.
