Magnificent job you did restoring that toast maker. By the way, I was wondering how you were able to find new heating elements for that antique toast maker. I bet they were hard to find for that old appliance. Anyway, it looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.

Wow I am floored again!!!! I was shocked it looked like the bottom of 2 irons to heat the press. Was the heating element made custom since I know you shouldn't be able to find Formica anywhere. Either way what an awesome job, the original panni press!!! BTW where were my seashells? LOL
Dear Beth, I'm so happy you're here.💜It's not always seashells like that.LOL..Actually, I was surprised too. I didn't know that the inside of the toaster could be seen like this. It had the same resistance. I didn't have it specially made. In my country, such heating elements are sold as standard.
Wow I didn't know that the elements were standard there, that is interesting. What country are you from? Also, I still say they slapped to irons together and called it a toaster. As a side note, as long as you put out videos I will be watching. When I find content I like I stick with it, so you are stuck with me LOL🙂
The flexible hose that contains the wires between the top and bottom was rather rusty, so you blasted and polished the outside. But what about the inside? How much rust was in there, and what can be done for it? I suppose you could point the sandblasting nozzle into the hose, but obviously it can't go against the polishing wheel.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to show everything in the video. If I show everything, this will be a video of more than 1 hour. I take sections from time to time, of course I cleaned the rust everywhere. Thank you for this nice warning and your attention. I use it safely.🖤🖤🖤
Many people think that when their belongings break down, they cannot be repaired, so they either throw them away or leave them on the roadside. I buy them at a very cheap price. Sometimes they sit in warehouses for years without being used.💚💚
A toast to your restored toaster. One thing I'd wonder, however, is why WD-40, which is a rustproofer not a rust breaker. I'd think to use some kind of vegetable oil, which won't require any kind of cleaning except normal household cleaning.
WD-40 is also a rust remover. It is generally used on stuck screws. After tightening, you need to wait about 15 minutes. Don't mind the fast pace in the video, we are waiting.💚💚
Cast iron can be seasoned with any oil that has a relatively high smoke point. My go-to is usually vegetable shortening because it's easy to apply (just rub it on like a paste) and is virtually flavorless. Whatever you can afford and/or are comfortable using should work fine.
Wonderful work, but how you are sure about the date and age of applicants? I thought at that time things was more heavy quality I am watching you since a bit of time wondering about quality of materials
