Here is Minuet in C by JS Bach found in Suzuki Cello Book 1. Since this is part of my Slow Play Series, I am purposely playing through this slowly so that you can hear all of the rhythms and pitches and how it fits into the accompaniment.
Remember to keep the quarter notes even despite what the bowing is having you do! Also keep in mind to pay attention to the bowing: where there are choppy slurs or smooth slurs.
Let me know if you have any questions!

So unbelievably helpful. Like I’m sitting w my teacher. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for taking the time to make this and the other tutorials. It will be a pleasure to play along with you. 🌹
Glad I can help!
Happy Fiourth of July Liz. I’ve been working on this piece for several months listening to your valuable insights and comments and this song is coming along well. My instructor has given me kudos for my performances. Thank you again. 😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Happy 4th! I'm so glad this is helping you! Congrats 🙂
Super helpful. I started working on this on my own and was sounding pretty crappy. Just watched your video, then played applying your teaching and it already sounds like I've been playing it for weeks. Some CZcams cello teachers talk so much and say little. You say little and convey so much of value. I'm your newest subscriber. Many thanks from Northern California. 🙏🏼
I'm so glad I could help! Thanks so much for the feedback. Always looking to improve!
Thank you. Your playing is lovely and your teaching quite helpful.
You're welcome! Thank you for your kind words and I'm so glad I can be helpful
Thank you so much! I'm a violinist and cellist who has been playing violin for 6 years and recently picked up cello about 2.5 weeks ago. Your channel has really helped! Thanks!
You're welcome! I'm so glad that my channel is able to help you. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you🙏🏽
You're welcome Randy! Hope you found this helpful
Oh yay can't wait to play this properly 😁 thank you for also explaining the symbols too! I'm still trying to get my head around my fingerings with jumping from one string to the next in good timing and preparing for those notes haha thank you! Great tutorial! 🙏
Thanks so much! Good luck on this~ just take your time and you'll get it!
Happy thanksgiving Liz
Happy Thanksgiving!
We loved your video. Thank you so much. My son played along with you and it was so much fun!!!
I am so glad it was helpful and most importantly FUN!😁😁🙌
Thank you for this Liz! Can you kindly explain what you mean by circular bowing?
Sure! After finishing the phrase with a down bow, you make a little circle so that you can do another down bow on the next note. By making a circle motion it makes it a little less abrupt and more smooth and fluid.
