Experience the transformation as we tear apart and rebuild a cherished pair of Doc Martens by treating them to the Nicks treatment. Witness a meticulous process where we deconstruct the Dr. Martens, unveiling the factory-installed synthetic and substandard materials. In our quest for excellence, we enhance every aspect by replacing these components with premium leather and rubber, elevating the overall quality to unparalleled heights.
While most boots are meant to be thrown away after a few months, Nicks are built to last. When your boots start to need some servicing, you can send them in to have them resoled or completely rebuilt! Nicks Handmade Boots are serviceable and last years longer than a mass-produced boot. Since 1964, Nicks has been making the highest quality boots on the market, right here in Spokane Washington. If you're tired of your old work boots wearing out, upgrade to Nicks and enjoy the most comfortable boots on the market.

i Think this is the best Doc Marten rebuild you've done yet. Love that you went with that sole option instead of basically making it a builder pro. It looks great. Also, I LOVE that wide open tongue.
I love the scar stitch
Punk AF!
Thanks for the trick " how to fix a cut in strong leather " . It's always a pleasure to watch your videos and all that talented people working .
The Nick’s team (and all cobbler’s) are true artists! Thank you for all that you create and do for us as consumers 👍🏾
These Dr. Nicks look awesome!!!
Very interesting choice to line the upper, glue in an extra piece of backing leather over the rip and STILL stitch through all three layers instead of using the liner to cover the stitching on the inside.
Very cool job, especially the repair to the rip.
Bikes & Beards got a mention 👍🏻
Spectacular ... as always!
That was awesome! 👍
Fantastic content.
Very nice!
Looking forward to my Natty CXL MTO. When I saw you guys offer it again I couldn’t sleep on it again.
I have a beat up pair of old Docs that I wore out years ago sitting in my closet. I’ve been wanting to get them rebuilt but, now that I’m used to PNW boots, they seem so flimsy. This right here is EXACTLY what I want, I always forget that Nicks rebuilds other boots too!! ❤❤❤
They do not rebuild doc martins. The description says it.
Now that's a good looking boot.
I'd love to see what you can do with a pair of Corcoran Jump Boots!
Good job bro..
Muy interesante 😮
Sick
This is my grandfathers axe. My father replaced the handle when it wore out and I replaced the head.
A great way of tansforming leather sneakers to actual boots
*It's amazing how they rebuilt those Doc Marten leather boots! Beautiful work!*
Y'all must have a shelf or wall of these Frankenstein boots by now. Be a neat video idea someday to have a "walkthrough" of prototypes that never made it and or things like these boots.
*No they don't actually. Video description says these are a one off. They don't plan at all for this to be a thing on their website. This was for entertainment purposes only for this one time video. It's very well done 😊!*
Nicks will rebuild any boot for you.
Cool! A pair of Nick Martens🤪!
Does Nick’s make Romeos or can they rebuild Georgia Romeos?
Did sleeveless bro leave the bent nail in?
wouldnt mind having a tear in my boot if it was repaired that well
Not related to this video, but anyone have a 10” Builder Pro and wear Darn Tough socks? what height works for you?
Don't forget to trademark that cross-stitch repair pattern that you guys did, otherwise, it will be showing up as a trend just like "holy jeans!" hahahahahaha
The way you rubbed that balm into the leather at the end there…I bet your girlfriend enjoys you 😅🍻
So, what % of the original boot survived?
*As the video description states, this was for entertainment purposes only as a one off. It was for fun.*
These Doc Martin's ended up being more Nicks than Doc's.
My issue with starting with a Doc is first I would have to replace all the leather and then all the internals... Kind of seems to defeat the purpose.
The older Solivair produced Doc leather is much better however.
*As the video description states, this was for entertainment purposes only as a one off. It was for fun.*
Where’s the beef? Boots a little shy of substance so new life a life saver.
FrankenDocs
Does Nick's rebuild Doc Martens? Or is this just for a video to show skill?
Hey Frank, this was just for a video!
I’d like to start the bidding at one meeellion dollars
Aw man…..you should have gone with yellow stitching. Apart from that fabulous
I am very surprised to see a pair of these " things " that don't seem to have been made of plastic covered crap.
I like what you guys did here, even if they weren't worthy of being repaired by hands and tools used to making real boots.
I'm pretty sure this is older Solivair produced Docs which used decent quality leather. The newer Docs would definitely be a waist of time.
@@gk5891 I think these are just a variant that uses a more natural leather.
From what I've seen the current Solovair shoes pretty much use just as crappy of a leather as the Doc Martin shoes with that thick plastic coating, and I don't imagine that the originals from the past were really very much better.
It's not just a matter of quality, because it's just not in the design.
The crappy plastic coated leather is part of what makes them what they are.
The original version was traditional leather. Patent leather came later. Although it appears you are correct and they do still offer traditional leather versions (I thought it was discontinued) as well as the common patent leather and vegan leather.
@@TylerSnyder305 *As the video description states, this was for entertainment purposes only as a one off. It was for fun. It was definitely cool to see what Nick's Boots did!*
@@JinsKookieJams I know that.
It still doesn't mean the crap was worthy of their effort and craftsmanship.
Trash into treasure
You showed respect to the brand and product more than it respects itself, that's sad...
But why no washers?! Some laces aren't replicable and and that is a fabric lace killer!
*As the video description states, this was for entertainment purposes only as a one off. It was for fun.*
Rebuilt? Just like if you would take wiper blades out off an old car, put them on a new car and declare it "total overhaul".
Great content, but calling this "rebuild" makes no sense.
That's usually how they rebuild those kind of boots though, keep the upper and replace everything else.
*As the video description states, this was for entertainment purposes only as a one off. It was for fun.*
Kinda embarrassing for Doc Marten that one could simply he-man rip the sole off w ease.
