      @CarsWithSteve It was a huge upgrade, I had a Ford escape 2011 before. Technology wise I felt a bit lost at first. I would have enjoyed the car play to be wireless but I can live with it being wired.
      It drives very well, I feel road bumps a bit more but the car is lower to the ground so it makes sense. The fact the passenger side is fully adjustable is a lifesaver, I got tall friends!! Being able to remove the head boards to lower the back seats is a huge plus too!

    Just bought a 2022 Escape Titanium. Your video saved me a lot of time reading through manuals. Thank you. Only thing I would add is the automatic door lock and unlock feature. With key fob in pocket, unlock the car by simply grabbing hold of the door handle. To lock the car (from the outside) touch the raised part of the top of the handle WITHOUT grabbing the handle. Very convenient to always keep the key fob in your pocket or purse.

      @@CarsWithSteve I probably would have gone with the SEL. It had everything I wanted and needed. The Titanium, at least now, seems like overkill for as much as I drive. I live in a rural area so don't do a ton of expressway driving, mostly two lane so a lot of the features will probably be unnecessary. With that said, the Fusion came with a lot of stuff I never thought I'd like or use and I did get used to the comforts. So we will see. Picking it up tomorrow! Made lots of notes from your video so I can quickly turn options on or off that I want to try but not on a maiden voyage. The dealership is 4 hours away so I don't want a bunch of unfamiliar stuff to add to the stress of the long drive.

    Thanks for a detailed review of escape.
    I like both Tucson 2022 ultimate hybrid and escape titanium hybrid 2021. But the Tucson has 1.6 l turbo engine and escape has 2.5 engine.
    Which one is better engine for long term and reliability?
    I am confused because Tucson has more horsepower than escape.
    Please suggest which engine is better.

    • @eulie717
      @eulie717 Před 3 lety

      A quick Google search will tell you that turbo engines usually experience more problems. Also the mileage estimates for the Tucson aren’t as good as for the Escape. I was looking at both models as well and I am leaning towards the Escape. The only thing that would sway me toward theTucson at this point is the wireless Apple CarPlay and the ease of changing the engine filter. Are they enough to swing back toward the Tucson? I’m just not feeling it.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Před 3 lety +1

      You're welcome Rajesh! Yes the Tuscon would have more power because of the turbocharged engine. @eulie had a good point about engines with a turbo typically experiencing more problems than non turbo engines. But the tech has improved over the years so they are better than they used to be.
      You do need to maintain a turbocharged engine more meticulously than you would an engine without. Ideally better to run a higher quality fuel as well.
      There's also turbo lag. It happens when you try to accelerate quickly.. turbo engines will take a bit longer for the power to hit the wheels.
      If you want better acceleration look at the Tucson, if you want better mileage
      go for the Escape

    Thank you so much for this video. My 2022 Ford Escape Titanium Hybrid is in the process of getting it's parts to be built and I've been so eager to see what's going to be in it WAAAY before actually being able to see it. I've done everything online so I haven't been able to see an Escape Platinum Hybrid in person yet. I've seen about 3 to 4 escapes on the road or parked on the street since I ordered my car but I've never been able to look inside one. This video is so cool and very educational as well. This makes me SOOOO ecstatic that I get to own one, and in my favorite color too (blue.) The Atlas Metallic blue is absolutely gorg 😬 and I can't WAIT! 😊
    BTW does anyone know an estimation on how long it takes to get the car built and delivered? I was told 4-6 months and read a few posts about each phase taking at least a month to get done. I also read that it can take between 12-14 weeks or even as little as 4-8 weeks.
    The first phase took only 4 business days to start so is it likely I will receive my car a lot sooner then pre-estimated?

      In pre-panedmic times it was normally 12 - 16 weeks for a custom order to be built and delivered.. now you're probably going to be somewhere in the 16 - 24 week range depending on the full build that you went for. If placed your order just after the last Escape production run you'd have to wait 6 - 8 weeks for it to enter the next run. Long story short.. I'd say 16 - 18 weeks is a safe bet

      The building process took almost a week in my case. It's now built and waiting for the shipment process to start. Keep an eye for the specifications of your order. Some are being cancelled. I'm waiting for my 22 Escape Titanium hybrid AWD. I went to the dealership today to find out that the power left gate option is not gonna be on my vehicle (and it's built/finished now anyway). I think the case is related to some parts shortage. So definately keep an eye on these parts that are not as essential... @@ousamaalkhatib7514 thanks, my is scheduled to be built in the week of August and my temp car just broke down so I'm selling it back to Ford cause it was a lemon to begin with, had misfires and codes from day 1 plus the A/C didn't work and they never did an oil change and I had to pay for the oil change and a new tire after 3 days of getting it cause the tire blew out on the free way and my warranty doesn't cover that but it covered the $800 for my A/C repair. The power steering system went about a week ago and the battery was corroded, ect. It's just been a headache so I want to sell it back for my $2,300.00 since I'll need a new car and I just wanted to know how long I'd be without a car so that I could just put that money on my Escape.

No one can tell me what this means. I finally found on the computer after hours: Put car into park and put parking brake on. This turns off ignition. Is this correct? I am not used to a push button start and I would like to know I am "starting" and "shutting off" both the engine and the ignition. Many thanks. Hope you can help.

      Vehicles have a few different modes
      Off --> Accessory --> On
      If you press the push button start without pressing the brake it will put you into accessory mode. So the media screen, cluster and a few other things turn on without the engine firing up.
      Make sure that there aren't any lights flashing on the start button when you go to leave the vehicle
