I used the same apparatus s you to distill 2 pounds of boswellia carteri as well. instead I steam distilled it for 8 hours and by the end of 8 hours the resin was melting into the boiling flask. I read somewhere that it is usually distilled for 16 hours. i wanted to go that long but cut it short. Clean up wasn't bad at all actually, I made sure I did it as quick as I could. I yielded about 9 ml's of oil. It turned out alright, not as sweet as I was hoping.

MistakenMystery so how can we carry distillation for so long hrs? Can distillation be paused for hrs n stared again?
What did you use for clean up? I have been having a time getting my equipment clean.

Diwakar Koravi cleaning was terrible. I submerged the glass in boiling water. Then 90% alcohol and kosher salt for an abrasive.
