I made a cheap Commander Deck with a draft deck recently from Theros Beyond Death, using Iroas as my commander and cards I already owned/got from the draft and weren't using in other decks. Literally cost me what I paid for the draft and it hasn't lost when I've played it yet. Super fun deck, too! Just a plug-and-chug deck that doesn't require a lot of thought; sometimes those get the job done and it makes you the archenemy on the battlefield.

Alesha is my favorite secret sliver commander. Most slivers have small bodies and big costs so being able to cheat them out is very good. Additionally there are a number of sliver cards that let you draw, tutor, or create sliver tokens in exchange for discarding slivers. Lastly, cards like Amorphous Axe and Hivestone can turn Alesha herself into a sliver making her a huge threat.

Alesha has been my main deck for the past year and Key to the City is a total house. Trading post can also do a lot of great stuff depending on your build. Puts creatures in the graveyard, brings back equipment, makes tokens to sac, or let's you draw. Def recommend it!

  • @tavitalvensaari6355
    @tavitalvensaari6355 Před 4 lety +1

I've tested with Alesha extensively and there are some budget cards I think you would like.
False Prophet is a fantastic wrath that is instant speed with a sacrifice outlet, also allowing for this deck to ignore the exile folly.
Ransack the Lab can be added in lieu of a land, for it fills the graveyard and replaces itself.
Anje Falkenrath, Rummaging Goblin, Deal Broker, and Mad Prophet are each lovely for filtering the hand and fueling reanimation.
Remorseful Clericis graveyard hate that beseems the strategy.
Protector of the Crown can be difficult for some decks to get through whilst granting the monarch to an aggressive commander.
Sire of Insanity can lock down the entire match in your favour.
Gonti, Lord of Luxury oft feels as if it's the most fun card in the deck, especially when recurred.
I suppose that shall be all from me. I love the work!

I was brewing around with this just a few days ago, with a similar idea but I couldn't get the cost down low enough, so this is a cool vid to show up now. Also, while it might go beyond the "reasonable upgrades" level, being a $10+ card, divine visitation would be actually one of my first upgrades, due to the critical mass of tokens, so it can give you an alternate win con if the aristocrats package isn't working, and with requiem angel it makes any sac outlet infinitely repeatable.

some cards to consider are the various modular and clockwork creatures as they have less than 2 power in the graveyard. Embodiment of Agonies can work well with this deck as it counts the various unique mana costs in the graveyard. extricator of sin can some into the field with a 3/2 eldrazi horror token that can later craft some more. Ignition team can be a huge creature in the right turn. Keldon battlewagon is also able to utilize creatures you feel safe enough to tap. Noosegraf mob is great for the sacrifice strategy as you get zombies. oathsword knight is cheap enough to get. Pentavus can get a flowing fleet of blocks or sacrifice fodder.

I just got Narset of the Ancient Way and Rielle the Everwise from my Ikoria booster box I ordered, along with some enchantments that pair well with spellslinger decks. I can't decide on a Commander though. Should I go with Kykar Wind's Fury, Narset Enlightened Master, or Elsha of the Infinite? I like them all and I can't decide. My play group is usually around a 5 to 7 in power, so what do you think fits best? Thank you for your time, to anyone willing to help a rather new and indecisive player.

I'm guessing one of the big factors is price. It's about $6-9 right now, which is kind of hard to fit into a $50 limit, and if you don't mind stuff dying, since it's an aristocrats deck, it's not as necessary, even though it does help keep alesha alive. Still probably a good addition, but not necessarily as vital IMO.

Hey Mitch, any chance you could make a Breya, Etherium Shaper deck? Love your content, bought the Tatyova deck way back when.

I almost thought this channel gave up on budget deck techs

Alesha is pretty fun to play, although I prefer to have more utility creatures to recur

I am interested in building a Kelsein, The Plague deck. The direction I thought of was giving kelsein death touch and running ways to untap him to rack up experience counters before swinging for lethal. Was wondering if you had suggestions or thoughts on this that you could share- I haven’t built many commander decks myself but I watch your channel and always enjoy the decktech. Thanks for the great content- even if you don’t have anything for me.

I think a break the bank on this deck would do leaps and bounds to the strategy. Cards like buried alive, karmic guide, reveillark, some more efficient mana rocks. Throw in some cards like that and Alesha will be the only one smiling at the table.

I went a slightly different way with this deck. I do still have a bit of sacrifice and draw/discard but it's more focused on creatures that destroy artifacts/creatures/enchantment when they enter and generating additional combat and main phases. Course it's no$50 deck but it isn't no$250 deck either

Selfless squire should have been great to add here
