Every time I see Mitch's face I just think the word "baseball".
Can't wait to never not see that
1:57 First off there's Wayfarer's Bauble.
I missed you on the Kenrith and Zirda video!
This is my favorite meme.
@@hunterstephens3671 It's a way to skip Mitch's intros.
@@cinderheart2720 oh never, I don't pay for the great content so he can solicit me all day
Just remember with Anax that the * for his power slot counts your devotion even when he's in the Graveyard. So if you have devotion to red higher than 2 you can't get him back with Alesha's attack trigger.
I recently made an Alesha deck for 10 dollars + what I already had. It was surprisingly competitive!
yeah Alesha is an amazing toolbox. if you just a bunch of targets, a few grave synergies and removal in your deck then you're up to snuff
I made a cheap Commander Deck with a draft deck recently from Theros Beyond Death, using Iroas as my commander and cards I already owned/got from the draft and weren't using in other decks. Literally cost me what I paid for the draft and it hasn't lost when I've played it yet. Super fun deck, too! Just a plug-and-chug deck that doesn't require a lot of thought; sometimes those get the job done and it makes you the archenemy on the battlefield.
Qrazy Quarian do you happen to have a decklist? I have a good amount of cards from theros I didn’t know what to do with yet
@@Mayo.SPK. Sure, I'll get it to you when I have the time!
Qrazy Quarian awesome thanks!!
I was waiting for this deck tec
I was waiting for wayfarer's bauble
me too, i have my own version about a year and i was very excited to see Mitchs version.
This is freaky..I was holding this card in hand and this video popped out..
Was working on my Najeela deck
I've always loved alesha as a commander
1:40 you said “where we get Alesha out” but I heard “where we get all our shit out” and had to rewind 😂
I've been apreciating these deck guides now more than ever. I find building decks thearputic . I'm grateful for your detailed content creations.
Keep up the Awesome!!!
Many Magic the Gathering players ask the question: What are Mitch's favorite sleeves and deck boxes?
@Julien Sanders you beat me to this exact answer, lol. Well done.
So... You want him to REALLY be the same thing as prof?
Don’t think I’ve ever clicked on a video any faster. Been waiting for this one. Also loving mixing in the studio footage, really adds an extra touch to the video
Thank you so much for making an Alesha deck tech! I've wanted to build her for so long, and your takes on commanders are the best!
Mich: "theres not a lot of walls running around, so its basically unblockable"
My Arcades deck:
*laughs is walls*
Oof
Then i'll would just attack another player lol

@@pojinx thanks! Fixed it
Key to the city and or Rogue's passage
Your channel and deck techs have inspired to build my first commander decks. They're always super informative and entertaining. Thanks for the content and keep up the great work!
What happened with the prices? You just said the total value, not the individual ones
@@toastman3421 then what's the point of putting the total price?
@@DimT670🤷🏻♂️
How did I miss this ten months back??? Thank you, Mitch, because using this list as a foundation I finally have a deck for Alesha I'm happy with. I have been trying to brew one of these for 5 years now, literally as long as I have played magic.
One of my favorite inclusions for Alesha is Archetype of Finality.
I used to run Avalanche Riders, but I recently took it out because it felt too cruel when playing against my friends. Dockside Extortionist, on the other hand, is extremely powerful in my Alesha deck without feeling too mean. Works great with Revel in Riches too for an additional win condition.
This commander was my second EDH deck ever! Very fun and scary deck if built correctly.
Nice job.
Thanks for sharing it.
I have been waiting for an Alesha deck tech from Commanders Quarters & was not disappointed!
Great job. Thank you sir. Keep it up!!
This puts a smile on my face
I’m building mine in more of a stax direction but it’s nice seeing your take on it!
Alesha seems really cool, so it was great to see a deck tech!
I built Alesha infect a few days ago and can't wait to try it out. Lots of unlockable effects and tapping effects.
I always loved Alesha as a commander, but I never thought of doing Aristocrats with her. It's such a genius idea to do. I've always done Samurai tribal with her, which also works pretty well.
Alesha is my favorite secret sliver commander. Most slivers have small bodies and big costs so being able to cheat them out is very good. Additionally there are a number of sliver cards that let you draw, tutor, or create sliver tokens in exchange for discarding slivers. Lastly, cards like Amorphous Axe and Hivestone can turn Alesha herself into a sliver making her a huge threat.
Alesha has been my main deck for the past year and Key to the City is a total house. Trading post can also do a lot of great stuff depending on your build. Puts creatures in the graveyard, brings back equipment, makes tokens to sac, or let's you draw. Def recommend it!
Loving the new format there, Mitch! Must have costed several quarters
This is the best birthday present I've gotten in a while!
Alesha is the second deck I build so much fun building around the 2 power restriction. I made mine into a combo aristocrat style of deck. Just needs more ramp I'll use some of the rocks from this video
Great episode!
One card I liked to include was ankle shanker. It’s a 2/2 Goblin that has whenever Ankle shanker attacks, creatures you control gain first strike and death touch. Now THAT’S a powerful option.
I've tested with Alesha extensively and there are some budget cards I think you would like.
False Prophet is a fantastic wrath that is instant speed with a sacrifice outlet, also allowing for this deck to ignore the exile folly.
Ransack the Lab can be added in lieu of a land, for it fills the graveyard and replaces itself.
Anje Falkenrath, Rummaging Goblin, Deal Broker, and Mad Prophet are each lovely for filtering the hand and fueling reanimation.
Remorseful Clericis graveyard hate that beseems the strategy.
Protector of the Crown can be difficult for some decks to get through whilst granting the monarch to an aggressive commander.
Sire of Insanity can lock down the entire match in your favour.
Gonti, Lord of Luxury oft feels as if it's the most fun card in the deck, especially when recurred.
I suppose that shall be all from me. I love the work!
Protector of the crown gave me 3 extra turns one game... unfortunately i drew lands those turns, but still...
I have my own Alesha deck online, wanting to build it irl so bad.
She's easily my favourite commander and this has added a couple of cards to the list!
I was brewing around with this just a few days ago, with a similar idea but I couldn't get the cost down low enough, so this is a cool vid to show up now. Also, while it might go beyond the "reasonable upgrades" level, being a $10+ card, divine visitation would be actually one of my first upgrades, due to the critical mass of tokens, so it can give you an alternate win con if the aristocrats package isn't working, and with requiem angel it makes any sac outlet infinitely repeatable.
Now this is epic
I'm running Alesha goblins and it is a blast.
Love playing Alesha
I think I’ve got most of that lying around. May be deck building today...
The video title cut of at the 5. I was pleasantly surprised at a 5$ deck tech!
I’ve waited so long to see this!! I’d also love to see Vorel of the Hull Clade!
Daniel Aserkoff I could almost make the deck that he would off the top of my head... chargifacts
some cards to consider are the various modular and clockwork creatures as they have less than 2 power in the graveyard. Embodiment of Agonies can work well with this deck as it counts the various unique mana costs in the graveyard. extricator of sin can some into the field with a 3/2 eldrazi horror token that can later craft some more. Ignition team can be a huge creature in the right turn. Keldon battlewagon is also able to utilize creatures you feel safe enough to tap. Noosegraf mob is great for the sacrifice strategy as you get zombies. oathsword knight is cheap enough to get. Pentavus can get a flowing fleet of blocks or sacrifice fodder.
I love Key to the City. It's my super secret tech in Gyrus.
Great tech for a fantastic commander. Alesha can be upgraded all the way to fringe competitive as well!
Wow this deck tech is a lot like my Trynn/Silvar deck!
Hfs, I needed a new alesha deck, and you delivered
Alesha is my favorite commander! :)
Great vid! I'd like to see what you could do with Tayam, Luminous Enigma. Many of the cards that go crazy with him are budget friendly, so I think you could have a heyday with him.
Hey I have basically all of these cards. Time for brewing!
Don't forget Karmic Guide!!! As both a value creature that can be reanimated with alesha, but it also combos with reveillark and a sac outlet. Both creatures are also tutorable with final parting btw!
Of course you release a Mardu deck right as I'm building Kelsien and jack up the prices of all the cards I needed. Thanks.
Still, interesting deck. Never considered Mardu aristocrats would work even though it has all the aristocrat colors.
Mitch: Say the line gang!!
Commander's Quarters Subscribers: *in Bart's voice* First up, its Wayfarer's Bauble... -_-
I have Alesha and always wanted to make a deck around her. Here we go.
Children of Korlis is a favorite of mine that I play in my Alesha deck. I use Children of Korlis in a combo with Soulgorger Orgg and Sanguine Bond
I had an Alesha deck. I liked that you didn't have to use one of her three colours (since her reanimation is hybrid). I had a "oops no swamps" deck. There were black cards but I didn't have to cast any of them for black mana. (I had some sources of black mana like Orzhov signet, or else there were too many dead cards in my hand.)
I actually just got Alesha in one of those mystery booster packs not too long ago. I don't really know much about the black/red/white color combination, so this'll be a good general template for how I should build my own version of her 😁
Love the video Mitch. I got a random idea for ya. How about doing episodes on the horrible decks that Jeffery was interested in playing. Those CEDH decks and how they function. Then maybe break it all down to a budget version. Call it either bankcrupcy or major withdrawals.
Tree of Perdition and Solemn Simulacrum are good value adds, as well.
Pretty cool. In these colors, I'm trying to build Licia (Sanguine Tribune). Mardu is a bit of a weird color combo with few interesting options for commander, but it is interesting if you can find a homebrew alternative... even for Zurgo... like weird triggers when combat damage is dealt.
The transmute zombie is an excellent option. I have to see about getting one!
I feel like you might consider something like Spitebellows, walloping for 6 when it dies, which is a sac effect, so it'll trigger stuff for added value potentially.
I have had the idea to make an Alesha samurai Deck for a while now. I'll probably build that one next
Alesha is so cool!!
Best commander ever
i love my Alesha deck. (also i guess Key would be the golden pig its really good ive binned Master of Cruelties and immediately brought him back so many times
I would also include Wall of Blood in this build. I know it doesn't have any token synergies but with Alesha's trigger, you can bring it back tapped and attacking circumventing the defender ability. With this combo, you can one shot someone.
Alesha was my first edh deck and I think its definitely one of my best but mine runs more combos like the leonin relic warder combo which I think is like no more the three dollars, but no creature in my deck has more 2 power exept revelark.
I personally like the prices on the bottom. I just think its useful if you want to use in an even more budget deck
Alesha is one of my favourite commanders.
I have my own build of Alesha built around recurring Allies :)
Have you considered Vulturous Aven for card draw that also sacrifices?
And I'd consider Fanatical Devotion as an enchantment sacrifice outlet.
I feel like there isn't quite enough minions with power 2 or less attack to get the most use of alesha's ability, but that may just be me. Currently there are 25 that take advantage of the main mechanic of the commander and I run around 30, depending how I tweak my deck. Then again, I play for more value than most aristocrats decks so *shrug*
Anyway here are some cheap and fun cards that I've had a lot of fun with that people making this deck might want to look into!
As someone who already has a Alesha deck I will have to see though I built mine around Goblins.
I need me one of those!!
Awesome video. I think you forgot about the prices on the bottom of the cards. Please bring that back
Look into chaos demon, 1RB for a 3/3 with "whenever a player sacrifices a permanent, chaos demon deals 1 damage to any target" super good because it's any player and any permanent, including fetches, treasures, food tokens, etc.
Already have an alesha deck just wna see this
Lurrus certainly should of been part of the reasonable upgrades. You can always run companions in the main deck.
so close, so close to having every card in the deck before i even made it. I still need about 15 including a few lands
Pía and Kiran Nalar are good in this deck as well as they come in with 2 thopter tokens
16th ish
1 of my favorite commanders.
Nice Saints hat my dude
i heavily suggest you consider whispersilk cloak for the deck, it may not give haste and it may be shroud, not hexproof, but it makes her unblockable, making it very hard to kill her without a wrath
FINALLY!
Perfect. I wanted to make a mardu commander! XD
Filth is amazing in this deck lots of cards missing but sure it’s for cost
I've been playing since October, and your videos have gotten me really invested in Magic. Thank you for all your hard work. I have a question for you and your fanbase.
I just got Narset of the Ancient Way and Rielle the Everwise from my Ikoria booster box I ordered, along with some enchantments that pair well with spellslinger decks. I can't decide on a Commander though. Should I go with Kykar Wind's Fury, Narset Enlightened Master, or Elsha of the Infinite? I like them all and I can't decide. My play group is usually around a 5 to 7 in power, so what do you think fits best? Thank you for your time, to anyone willing to help a rather new and indecisive player.
I really like recon for this deck
I'm guessing one of the big factors is price. It's about $6-9 right now, which is kind of hard to fit into a $50 limit, and if you don't mind stuff dying, since it's an aristocrats deck, it's not as necessary, even though it does help keep alesha alive. Still probably a good addition, but not necessarily as vital IMO.
Nice
nice
I love you videos Mitch! But I miss the price of all the cards in the video. I really enjoyed seeing a card that is pretty important and looking and saying “What that’s a quarter!?”
YAAAAAAS
Hey Mitch, any chance you could make a Breya, Etherium Shaper deck? Love your content, bought the Tatyova deck way back when.
I almost thought this channel gave up on budget deck techs
Alesha is pretty fun to play, although I prefer to have more utility creatures to recur
I am interested in building a Kelsein, The Plague deck. The direction I thought of was giving kelsein death touch and running ways to untap him to rack up experience counters before swinging for lethal. Was wondering if you had suggestions or thoughts on this that you could share- I haven’t built many commander decks myself but I watch your channel and always enjoy the decktech. Thanks for the great content- even if you don’t have anything for me.
I think a break the bank on this deck would do leaps and bounds to the strategy. Cards like buried alive, karmic guide, reveillark, some more efficient mana rocks. Throw in some cards like that and Alesha will be the only one smiling at the table.
Demonic tutor!
I went a slightly different way with this deck. I do still have a bit of sacrifice and draw/discard but it's more focused on creatures that destroy artifacts/creatures/enchantment when they enter and generating additional combat and main phases. Course it's no$50 deck but it isn't no$250 deck either
Selfless squire should have been great to add here
