  • When increasing the diameter of your exhaust piping, especially with a cat-back system, it's not difficult to introduce drone to the system if not tuned properly for the vehicle. That's why Thermal R&D works to not only create a 3-inch system that has the sound and airflow you want but also incorporates a true Helmholtz resonator. If you're looking for performance, but don't want an obnoxiously loud exhaust, this is the way to go. We'll show you an installation, product review, sound clips, and some 0-60 testing to show the performance gains.

So cool to see my wife's Explorer ST featured in the video! What a GREAT experience I will NEVER forget at Steeda Autosports and a very special thank you to Chris for his tour of the facility and a behind the scenes look at the making of this video. Best of luck with all your new endeavors my friend!

I've been looking at this exhaust. Would you get even better performance with CV Fab or SPD catted downpipes? I like your before and after in your videos. Thanks!

Looks up “LessEcoMoreBoost” he’s an Explorer ST guy with a ton of sound clips with downpipes.

You will get more performance with the downpipes. You will Lose a bit of low end tq but gain more mid and high range power. I’m running the Cvf intercooler, Cvf downpipes, thermal 3in and S&b intake. Tuned by jdm engineering it made 440whp and 470 tq on a conservative 91 tune.

@@lucian7182 will the downpipes throw a check engine with no tune?

Would love an equal length downpipe for the 2.7 Bronco.

Man. Ecoboosts sound like shit. Don’t get me wrong, I do like my wife’s ST, but Jesus, there’s a reason they made the silent from the factory.
