I can see the reason for Dawson being offered a new contract is because other clubs will be looking at Beadle now and we need a good keeper. We need to keep the media hype for Poveda under the radar so he isn't poached by another club. Sad to see Reece James go, he was a great player and never given much of a chance under Rohl, but he knows what he's doing. Ditto Byers
Not a shock,not my choice of some of the retained,but what do I know.Reece James was a excellent player and we were very disappointed not to see more of him,excellent ball player,but our Leader is the strategist. The most important decisions are to come,who are the Proven,Quality players coming to S6,🥵🥵
Don't think DR see's Dawson as good enough for this league and rightly so. Hopefully means we're getting someone decent in, fingers crossed Beadle again and Cam is just back up. Charles out on loan then back the following season to fight for #1

A few too many kept for me, I agree with all released, I'm unsure about Delgardo though tbh, I thought he was a good technical footballer but unsure how long it would take him to recover from a year long injury! Not bothered about Byers, thanks for helping us get up but was too lightweight for the Championship. Personally I'm disapointed Pato is staying as think we could do better with the money he's earning (15k p/w), and I also thought it was time we moved on from Dawson, especially since Charles signed his new deal. The others I would have done the same, they proved they can cut it when Danny came in and if we can add 7 or 8 players who fit the system who are younger and have room to develop as well as being good enough for the first team I think we'll look a good side next year. Suprised there was nothing on Wilks as I'm sure he's not in Danny's plans moving forward!
Wilks is in contracted only way he goes is if we terimeated his deal by mutual consent or pay him our how deal. Pato a good squad player for us mate he gives 100% there period in November and December where we only had pato and cadz up to and did the work rate for also options mean we could quite easily sell if a bid came in for him
@@Punkchef41 My problem with Pato is what is his actual position? He isn't a striker, nor a winger, neither a midfielder or a full back/wing back. At 15k p/w we could bring in a younger player who fits the system better. I don't disagree he runs his socks off and did well against Norwich but he made himself a great chance and missed, again not a striker. I just don't see where he fits and I don't buy the whole "he's a utility player", we have a squad of 25 and an U21's, more than enough to cover all positions even with injuries.
He known as untilty player mate he one them that has no set role every manger that come in has used him every were so there not lot we can do on it think he a player Danny likes and the thing just cos we offer him option if someone like a Hearts come for him again we get a fee what if it a case we taken the option so if someone comes in he not a free
@@Punkchef41 I'd rather save the 750k+ a year wages than maybe get a fee! It's just my opinion, most people thought my list of 7 retained was too many. I want to keep the harmony of the squad and the core from last year but Pato was never a starter and think we could use that money better, thats all.

Dawson I'm glad about for him too. Let's hope there all sign contracts this time so we don't get a repeat of the Middlesbrough game . Come on wednesday. Let's see what Danny can bring in this summer

Dawson one is strange. Definitely not #1 for Danny so hopefully means we're getting someone else in and imagine PC will go out on loan. Personally like that Dom has been offered a new deal, plays Danny ball perfectly. Sad for George
Felt they should have kept Byers and maybe given Delgado a chance to prove himself under Danny.
Byers has not fit the way Danny plays to be fair and Delgado makes you think how bad the injury was

It was obvious Danny didn’t fancy him. Not many starts and usually subbed when he did start. He wanted to stay and is good enough to adapt to the system but in DR we trust.
Wasn't up to Championship standard, was excellent in league one and I thank him for helping us get promotion but he was too lightweight this year and anyone who saw him this year surely wouldn't argue?!
