  • Thank you for joining me on another tutorial adventure. Today We learn how to make a hair net, or snood. You can use your favorite cotton, or a nice ribbon or tape yarn. Headband found at the dollar tree. I had no luck finding any at this current time. but I am sure they are still available in some locations. I have also seen them at walmart.
    Thank you for watching.

    Thank you SO much for this video!!! I needed to make a hair net for an Italian Renaissance gown, but after 2 tries I was frustrated and confused. It just wasn't working - I'd started at the center and due to bad increasing, it was less flat, or domed, and more shaped like a wonky pear. After watching your tutorial I was able to restart from the "band" (crocheting onto a giant zip tie tied into a circle, later replaced by ribbon) and work my way in! It turned out so much better than I'd expected. I was even able to work pearls into it as I went, one at each "junction." So thank you, for making this easy to understand and so achievable. You are wonderful!!

    I definitely need to find those hair bands, this would be good for keeping my hair out my face during house chores and cooking

    Thank you!!!! I’ve had bad luck with purchasing hairnets that fit properly for work. They fit but I also have to wear a hat over my hairnet at work, so I want to try and make my own that fits properly with a hat. This came out so pretty. ♥️♥️

    love it. just to offer options. you can buy elastic at the fabric store in any width you choose. cut it at any length. sew the 2 ends together. make sure that it is flat when you connect them, no twists. buy it by the yard, very cheap.

    • @CinnamonStitches
      @CinnamonStitches  Před 4 lety +1

      This is true. But elastic is impossible to find right now. So in normal cases, yes elastic would work great.

    Another good one! We used to wear these a lot back in the 60s. They work well, especially if your hair is medium length and hard to get put up. Like the ribbon yarn idea, always wondering what to make with it.

  • @amigurumiyumicrochet4156

    This is a wonderful way to do a net/snood ! I love it! The other patterns I’ve seen start from the top down and require keeping stitch count ( which I’m bad at)
    a little more closely. So adaptable and easy ! Thank you ❤️

    I love this! My hair is very long( to my waist) and thin. I always thought that it being long made it look thicker lol. But sleeping makes it a tangled mess, I toss and turn a lot. So I'll try this to keep my hair up when I sleep. I'm still going to get my daughter to cut it to mid back level. It's just to hot for summer, no matter how thin it is. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!
