How to make a Walking Robot Dinosaur

- This is a Christmas gift to all my fans. Its about how to make a walking Robo Dinosaur using a single motor. While walking it moves tail and head too. A single servo motor was used for this. The circuit inside the servo was removed, therefore no external control circuit was necessary. Its just like a DC motor with gear box to provide high torque at low speed.

Some questions though:
Is it possible to introduce knees and lower legs? It could add speed to the robot, as it can flex its legs better.
I'm also wondering if it's not possible to use the tail as a way of conserving energy and improving the power of the stride--much as it did in the real dinosaurs. This I imagine could be achieved by substitution of metal for rubber banding (such as used for doing hair) or something similar, and attachment of these BELOW the "hip joint" (so it "resists" forward movement, which stores energy, and allows the femur to move back faster). What think you of this idea?

When you make it, you make it seem so easy. However, it is hard work and of course your ingenuity. I like the dinosaurs and also the snake you made. I am trying the snake for a while, but no success.

brilliant concept
it is taking a left turn every-time because the head is connected to the left leg which minimizes the strength and reach of the left leg and the right leg on the other side moves normally and the whole robot tends to take a left turn so use a string only and tie it to both the legs instead of just one :D

I used a modified servo motor. I have shown hiw to do the modification. You can use 60 rpm dual shaft geared motor too.

You can. But aluminum is stronger.

It doesn’t have the arms. If you had it, you would surely make the arms then you would make it function with the legs, wouldn’t you? Hmm?
And like, after the arms, you can like… make the tiny fingers after for the arms, like, the arms are still on the sides of the robot dinosaur model so they can still function, then like make little fingers for the arms to put them on the arms or something… Idk.
