On todays video, I review the new Insta 360 X3 360 camera. I also show some ideas for video angles, and talk about why I think this camera is a must have for creators in the automotive space. It's pretty amazing when paired with a car. The sound quality is way better too. I think it's perfect for racing, drifting, motorcyclists, or pretty much anything that you want to record in a new interesting way. Definitely going to be using it for my photography and videography a lot this year. Especially with CZcams Shorts and vertical video becoming more popular. This camera is also waterproof and it's better than any action cam with it's ability to film everything, and move around during a timelapse. Thanks for watching! The x2 is a really amazing camera too! I almost bought one when they came out, but I was still enjoying the one x a lot at the time, and was trying to control my gear spending too. Which hasn’t been working out lately. Lol.

Nice video! I'm curious as to how you set it up on the convertible tho, since you don't have a rear window to mount it on. Currently looking for a cam like this for my E46 for a roadtrip i have planned to the UK.
best camera for the coolest shots ..Im so happy w my X3! I usually just leave it in 360..cool truck btw! I use Epidemic Sound as well..I have used the same song on one of my videos as your mustang convertible clip lol

Seems like whenever epidemic sound puts out a really epic song, I hear it in every other video I watch. Some of their stuff is really under rated. I get a lot of the songs stuck in my head while at work.

Do you find you need the additional grab at the base of the three suction cup mount for the chase shot to stop the wobbling?

Definitely! Especially once the weather gets a little better. The cold weather last week killed the battery in the mustang, and the 620 does not like the cold at all.

And it seems to work pretty well at moderate speeds, but I did notice a bit more the faster I went (which I expected). I spent most of today at a track, and should be sorting that footage this week. Probably posting some of that footage as a full vid in the next week or so. Some of those speeds were faster than my local speed limits.
@@RobRabonPhotog thanks for the reply. Ill be looking forward to the next video. If you find the chance could you do an audio video for the mic. Would like to know if I need to buy an external mic to put near the exhaust to get the sound quality im after. I usually run through mountain passes so speeds near 100mph is about the fastest ill even get near.
You can add small cross fades on your video cuts to stop the clicking sounds. But thanks for the nice review 😊

@@RobRabonPhotog no it’s just a small tip you did great. I thin the short cut is a two key one. Like command r or command r on the two audio clips
If you’re in a budget, there’s other options from them too.

I recently got the X3 and I seem to get WAY more wind noise than you 😢
Ive seen when people just kinda track other peoples car movements do you have to do it while u recording or can u do it after its recorded? I wanna get me one of these but i have cuestions

I recommend! I like it so much that I’m considering a second one. One for dash cam and one for outside forza shots. But I’m too broke. Lol.

Is it possible to charge it while you use it as a dash cam like with a power bank or plugged into the cigarette lighter
Yea. I used it like that on a recent track day. Just have to be mindful of cord placement, so it doesn’t show up in your shots.
What about the voltage?
What is the max speed you did when having this setup on track or drag? Above 200km/h can hold up?
That’s a good question. I’m not sure the max it will go. I only did the speed limit which was around 65mph/100kph. I might try to test it at a higher speed in the near future.
Thanks .. on paper spec the delkin gecko mount can hold up to 150mph.. but I have seen video with the selfie stick, it kinda can’t hold up and the stick snap..
You have additional clamp support which should help provide more support.

I got distracted by trying to make a drift car. And then distracted by buying the race truck. And now I’m just broke. Lol.
