Just a quick thingy: Solgaleo isn't shooting beams, it itself is rushing toward you at such velocity it ignites the air. That's why Solgaleo disappears in the animation during its attack.

Goldeen being useless and flopping around is a reference to the first time it appeared in the anime where Ash started using other trainers pokeballs that were stored in the back room of the Viridian City pokecenter to try and beat team rocket for the first time. Golden was the first (I believe) that was sent out and it was flopping around uselessly
I always wondered why it was Goldeen, Magikarp would make more sense to use splash.

The reason why Magikarp doesn’t appear in a Poke Ball is that he’s the best Pokemon to spawn as he can instantly KO every opponent on the field with nothing but his Splash making him an SSS Tier Pokemon

I honestly agree with this list so much, especially Kyogre. You have no idea how many Quickplay matches I’ve lost to item users who got Kyogre.
Fun fact: During my playthrough of Smash Bros Ultimate, I was more interested in the RPG stuff featured in the game (Spirits mode) than the actual battling tech. As a result, two of the THREE occasions where I had to airdodge (Let alone, dodge) were the spirit battles for Kyogre and Keldeo.

I wish there was some way to influence what comes out of a poke ball because a lot of these require special placements to get their full potential. The randomness is super fun but ya frustrating when you throw something down and it turns out it only controls this awful area.
Mew is bad but whenever someone gets it we all say, “Oh look, it’s Mew!” And our fighting is stopped or disrupted because we’re all distracted. I think that has merit.

If you get distracted because of him, that's you doing that. Not Mew.
Just put your Pokeballs on the edge of the stage with the most opponents. More often than not, it will benefit you.

It's a shame that Necrozma isn't a Pokémon Assist and why the heck isn't Ultra Necrozma a Boss for Classic Mode?!
Most likely because Rayquaza already occupies the position of Pokémon boss. Notice that, with the exception of original characters, there has never been more than one boss per franchise:
Super Mario - Petey Piranha (Giga Bowser was created for Smash Bros.)
Legend of Zelda - Ganon
Metroid - Ridley (same character as Meta-Ridley)
Pokémon - Rayquaza

(I'm predicting that if they continue making more bosses for Smash Bros. after this, they're likely going to turn to Pikmin, Sonic, and Kid Icarus next. Donkey Kong and Fire Emblem are usually high-priority franchises for Smash Bros., but they don't really have quite as many examples of big, imposing bosses as these three franchises do.)
I'm honestly shocked Pokemon didn't get a boss this game. It's one of the big three Nintendo franchises and they didn't even bring back Rayquaza. I love all the bosses in Ultimate but Rayquaza returning or a new Pokemon boss like Necrozma would've been the cherry on top

There should be secret touches to new and goldeen, like putting goldeen in water would result in a giant wave, and mew would secretly increase your luck for a short time. For example: imagine barely getting a misfire as Luigi, but as soon as you get mew, you get it most of the time. Well, for a while, anyways.

My counterplay against keldeo is to abuse his slow turn around and cross him up, as he can’t hit behind him and will often attack in the wrong direction. Still think he’s insanely good due to being such a presence in a chaotic match.

@@micaelferreira945 No it wasn't. He respawns with 40%, which means he started with it.
Marioisawesome82 The charizard was at 0, you can see it. He just cut out when he edited him to not start at 40%.

I like Bewear the most. He walks to the enemy and delivers a sick, powerful uppercut. Plus, he looks cute and has a pleasant cry.
Other good Pokemon (in my unprofessional opinion) include Keldeo, Arceus, Alolan Raichu, Genesect, and Tapu Koko.
