Namur is a city in Belgium. Above the city is The Citadelle, a fortress / castle built in the year 937. Yes, 937! It was updated in the 1600's.
To motocross fans The Citadelle is the "Monaco" of Formula 1 car racing.
One name is associated with being the best ever on the legendary racing circuit of Namur - Roger De Coster. This VHS footage is from Roger's last race in Namur, August 3 1980. (The race was usually held on the first Sunday in August.)
