Samuel Eto’o’s career cannot be described with the monochrome of the record books. He was as combustible and compelling character as he was an incendiary and broadly talented forward. Someone who reached the top of the game, but who led anything but a typical existence once he got there.

Eto'o was such an amazing player. He isn't exactly underrated but often doesn't get the plaudit he deserves, because of his personality. He had pretty much everything that you could ask in a perfect goal poacher. He was absolutely rapid, had great vision, his ball control and dribbling was brilliant and he was strong as a pitbull as well. I saw him in his prime in 2011 with Inter Milan: 37 goals, 17 assists, more than 100 dribblings completed. 6 Major trophies in less than 2 full years. Definitely the best forward Inter ever had in modern football after pre-injury Ronaldo de Lima in 1997/1998.

The African equivalent of the Brazilian Ronaldo. ... Phenomenal, and also had longevity like the Portuguese Ronaldo. He was still a top player for years in the Turkish league besides others.
Edit: I also see a bit of him in the young _Ansu Fati._

Even Jose Mourinho, Zidan, and more could not understand why Samuel ETOO did not take the ballon d or in 2005 and 2009. Samuel ETOO s Records are still yet to be broken on the International and Club stage.
