Although I am a Jose fan, ( as you can tell from my user picture ), Mr. Domingo never fails to impress me. He is so warm and caring, and his voice so elegant. I have his Otello on DVD ( and also his Aida ), and when he came out wearing that white robe on curtain call, I said to myself, "he looks like a KING!" WOW! Yeah, Placido has a majestic presence about him. And I didn't know he is a baritone now until I read about it in here CZcams. I hope he is doing well. Like someone said, he and Jose will make an awesome pair!! And he has his star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, and I happily took picture of it. And since I live just a few minutes away from it, I walk by it every day. Placido, you make everyone's life a happy one every day. We thank you. :D

Wow, his parents could sing so well too, and Placido really looks like his dad. If he was born in Spain but really grew up in Mexico, I wonder if he pronounces his name "Pla-thee-do" the European way or "Pla-see-do" the Latin American way.
Placido has got so warm and friendly eyes and smile, allready in so young age. I kind of love and hate Domingo. I love him, because of his singing, and hate him because he is such an arrogant person: he wouldn't accept the great Danish award, Léonie Sonnings Musikpris he was given. These people didn't think they were too good for the prize: Barenboim, Bartoli, Bashmet, Celibidache, Fischer-Dieskau, Harnoncourt, Kremer, Ma, Menuhin, Mutter, Nilsson, Rattle, Richter, Segovia, Solti, Stravinskij.
I love Him because my father opened Placido s voice for me!!!He taught me to listen the real masters of music and opera!!!
