- I'm diving into the exciting world of Hyprland, a Dynamic Tiling Window Manager that is built with Wayland technology and so customizable that it transforms your desktop experience. Discover what the hype is all about and how to get around in this crash course. #linux #hyprland #fedora
Special thanks to this dev for the installation script:

Not to sound like an ass or anything but it's Hyprland, not Hyperland.
My bad. You can see how new I am to Wayland.
@@the_jr_dev Yeah I misread it when I was first introduced to it too.
youd be fun to be around😐
Either you're in competition with the music or the music is in competition with you.
there's something awesome about your camera idk what exactly perhaps its the quality that made my like / sub - good video mate
I would welcome another linux channel with open arms. Hyprland is pretty sick too.
I plan on having a lot of Linux content as it pertains to developers, but I think sometimes I will have some Linux content for fun.
thanks. Glad you liked it :)
Yes, I did.
Shit, maybe a tiling window manager would be something useful for me to mess around with once I get a bit more experience with Linux.
I love navigating around the computer with only the keys.
am not a fan of twm but i have a lot of curiosity to see how my productivity can differ from just using my regular de
I don't like when the window isn't free to be moved with the mouse. In my point of view there is something missing.
make it float mode (super shift F) then drag that window...
make all float (super alt F)
problem solve 😊
I cant use wayland because of forced vsync. I hate the delay while playing games
audio?
My problem with Hyprland is that the creator has been banned from the Freedesktop Organization because the Hyprland community is way too toxic and it seems as if we have controversy monthly with Hyprland. I typically don't get into politics, but the Hyprland people went way past the line. The last KDE controversy was in 2008 (before I was born) because so much changed in the KDE 3 -> KDE 4 update, like the Windows 7 -> 8 update.
Who cares. It doesn’t affect users in any way.
@@hunterzone4846 I don't like being associated with people like that
People are people. Code is code. Why would you give up on things you like, over some guy trash talking on discord chat?
@@everypizza If you distance yourself from everyone who does something you dislike, you'll soon find no one around.
@@trajectoryunown but this person did a lot that I don't like
Nvidia?
I don't have Nvidia on my computer.
Hubble telescope?
Using hyprland with RTX 3070 right now on arch linux, installed latest nvidia-dkms-driver and fsync-nobara kernel.
couple environment variables
env = WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS,1
env = LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME,nvidia
env = GBM_BACKEND,nvidia-drm
__GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia
Having no issues with hyprland whatsoever
@@dsveteran12 fsync nobara kernel..!?tried wayland a while ago nd i just gave up lol ,settled with xorg for now though still didn't bother to setup drivers for nvidia in thiss too..but i dont maybe i should try wayland again lol..?xorg vs wayland wt do u say which one's a more wiser choice for now!!!?
This is good to know. My computer is a little older, but I do have a newer laptop and maybe I might try that when I install Linux on it. I have the RTX 4030 I think.
