It’s not sad to watch. Eric has been a willing participant and enabler of his father and has benefited from his father’s schemes to not pay contractors and small businesses for the work they’ve performed on Trump properties. Eric knows exactly who and what his father is and about.

Sad? What's sad is that Eric full-on knows his dad is a POS and he aspires to be just like him. This definitely isn't something that deserves sympathy from anyone.
