Summer Rain is a good song (one of Belinda’s own personal favorites, according to her…) but imo, Whatever It Takes (her duet with Bryan Adams) & (the absolutely BEAUTIFUL) Shades of Michaelangelo are the two BEST but most underrated songs from that album! (Runaway Horses) 👍👌❤️

i was a little kid of the 1980s i vividly remember hearing songs on the radio or out in the street but i never knew the artist's name at the time, i love the heaven on earth album, i didn't know Diane keaton directed any music videos, much less one of Belinda's videos
I have to honestly say Belinda is one of the nicest people you can meet. I have had the pleasure of spending time with her on different occasions, and she is very easy to speak to. She isn't one of this stuck up celebrities who have let fame go to their heads. She would rather wear some jeans and a denim shirt than get all dressed up, but she always has on a great pair of shoes. Belinda is just a great Leo and an all-around nice person.
I had totally forgot that she had chubby cheeks in the early days she grew up to be so glamorous 🥂

It was magic to be around when Belinda and the Go -Go's got it going. She has matured a bunch, and it's nice to she that she has it together at this point in her life. If I can hear the Beach Boys and the Go-Go's in the afterlife, I will be in heaven.
👏👏👏 Really great, insightful interview - questions and answers. Mad respect for Belinda and the group as a whole. Sort of the soundtrack of my life. The Go-Gos hit when I was in college. Drove to Texas to see them in their “Serious Barbecue Tour” and to California to see Belinda as Sandy opposite Barry Williams in “Grease.” Yes. You read that right. 👏👏👏

Im so glad that shes back with some pop songs, but also frustrated that its only a 5 song EP!!! Why not just add another 5 and give us the long awaited album we've been dying for?! She mentions great songwriters not offering songs, but Rick Knowles who wrote Heaven is still workin with some big names today, such as Adele... im pretty sure he would have provided another 5 great songs to make an album 👌👌.
She has a full length album coming out next year that was produced by Gabriel Lopez and she's working on more new material with Diane after that. So there's plenty of stuff on the horizon
as for Rick Nowels… Belinda and Rick don't get along and don't speak to each other. So those to working together is never going to happen again. However she did work with Ellen Shipley on a new song in 2015 called "goodbye just go"
@@taylorh4480 What happened with Rick Knowles ??? 🤦🏽♂️... I thought she wanted him to produce her Woman and a Man album but the label wanted someone else. That was the last time she made a Pop Album (Until now)

first: 27years is not true. she released sun and she released goodbye just go, besides other cover songs like both sides now and more so she wasnt away for 27years with pop. second: why does she thinks no one would give her good pop songs? i'm sure rick nowels would be up to like he always did.
I own her several music like download or cd whatever and they are here to stay. I can listen to them whenever I want to. But watching this interview video I kinda started to see what kind of this person Belinda is as a human being. Now I don't think this is it as if it seems to be.

Interviewer seems distracted, bored, expressionless, and constantly looking off to the side. Seems more focused on how she looks than who she is talking to. It´s pretty annoying. Show some respect for the person you are interviewing! The questions are good, but there is so little emotion (in fact none) in how she speaks, so mechanical and monotone. The interview is informative, but joyless.

This is a good chit-chat and I can’t help but think all us viewers learned alot about Belinda Carlisle! I know I did!
I’ll have to admit I sure am sad to learn she pretty much dipped out for SO long…seems a waste of energy and talent and performance beauty and charisma as a lead vocalist. Married since 1986?? Good god that’s insane for any level of celebrity. Absolutely unreal.

That said, The Go-Go’s were very first concert I attended at age 17. It was 1982 in Portland Oregon and it was the absolute funnest most exciting craziest thing I can remember doing for several years at that point in time. I went with my cousins and we were jumping and hopping and dancing with the entire audience and everyone was a sweaty happy mess after that concert. It was amazing and we all fell in love with these young ladies at the time which were in their early 20s. It is good to see that Carlisle has survived alcoholism and other abuses because we all know many music celebrities don’t pull through.
I’ll have to admit that although she is still beautiful in her own right, she looks quite weathered from the battle that she has had over the last several decades of her life. It is absolutely amazing to me that she was married clear back in 86 and is still married to a guy who is seemingly didn’t EVEN jive with her public personality. It just goes to show that people are incredible creatures indeed!
I’ve seen other live concerts over the years and NONE of those had the PURE ENERGY that these wonderful ladies had in the 1980’s…not even Bon Jovi
