Back in the 80s, I remember my jerk brother looking at the Go-Go's on TV and saying 'Belinda needs to go to a fat farm'. I thought then and still think that is extremely cruel. Belinda never even was 'fat'. As Belinda herself said, she was 'normal'. I still love the Go-Go's and my elder brother is still a total jerk!
Agreed, she's never looked fat and as an adult has always been in good shape. People had ridiculous expectations of what was thin and fat at the time I guess. Only today we know what fat truly means with the insane obesity rates in much of the world - even at her most chubby Belinda Carlisle would appear to be anorexic in comparison!
