I bought round rose gold nameplates from Bruce about two months ago. I heard you have to ask about the washers, he charged me an extra $10 more for them. I have to agree, the metal is thinner than I thought but they are working out just fine. Bruce communicates very well..and quickly. Mine are individually packaged in mini zip baggies. Delivery was fairly fast. I'm happy with them and probably will buy from him again.

Thank you for the video! I decided to go ahead and order a couple of sets of your own designed Handcrafted name tags and I am quite excited! I am looking forward to getting and using them. I also wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos; you are very charming! And I LOVE your hair! Whoever colors it has a very unique technique! Very pretty! It quite suits you!

I know that using the "Handmade" leather or metal is a bit lame, but my budget is too. Your "Handcrafted" tags are beautiful!!

Great info, thank you! I actually recently ordered just a couple of nameplates somewhere just to check em out. I haven't actually made a bag yet, but I will be. I placed a small order from you, but I don't think that's where I got any. Oops! Maybe I need to go back & look for em cause that one you showed at the end... Yowza! That's beautiful!

Good morning Lauren, where did you order the second set of name plates. I love the color and would love to design my own through a company. I just really want to be able to make the purses because purses are my passion. Please help. And as always thank you

They are not lame..lol!! I think it's smart to not have the design of the name plate take over the look of the bag. P.S. I love the "Handcrafted" plates you sell as well LOVE THEM!!The look is very modern and like that better than "Handmade". You go girl...lol!

A tiny bit off subject, since I don't use name plates, but when you put it on you mentioned putting some interfacing over to strengthen the area. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I usually use a small square of decovil under the magnets, and it's sort of the same concept. Would decovil UNDER the washer help or would it make that too thick? Always learn something with your videos! Thank you

Lauren, thank you so much for doing this video. I've been using wooden tags, but want to upgrade to metal and this was very helpful. One question, what is your type of attachment called? I see several styles on the Alibaba website. I now attach my wooden tags with rivets, but want the same style you have with the washers. Thanks. I love, love all your videos.

  • @joymccalvin-joyfulcreations

Thank you so much for the video.
I really love the handcrafted metal tag you showed in the video, and that beveled edge is so professional along with the thickness. Would be willing to give the source for that supplier? 🙏🏻
I had metal tags made a few years ago I really like the tag but the back prongs are so thin I have to add duct tape to them and hope they don’t come out. I also didn’t get the washers I had no idea I had to ask I assumed they would be included 🙄. Thanks so much I love your videos ❤️ Joy

Hi Lauren, oh yes, I know you sell the handmade tag I ❤️ them. I’m just looking for a supplier that makes quality tags that is not thin to have my logo tags made. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The “milky substance” is probably mold release.

    • @LaurenMormino

Or machining coolant. It leaves a milky substance too. Its similar to antifreeze but not toxic.

Thank you so much for doing an in depth video on these. I will definitely reach out to Bruce. Question, what supplier do you use now to create your tags? Oh and roughly how long did it take to receive after you placed your order?

    • @LaurenMormino
      @LaurenMormino  Před 5 lety +3

The Nameplates I designed are with my current hardware supplier. Since I sell the hardware I will not be sharing it. But it took about 25 days to receive from Bruce :)

Maybe you could duct tape the back of the nameplate like you do to your purse feet.
