The puppies are already 6 weeks old. They are very playful now and you can clearly see their different characters. I put them on colored cat collars so you can see who is who, but if they get stuck or something, I take them off.
Loulou is doing very well, she is still wearing her shirt because the puppies jump to her nipples without a shirt.

I am amazed at how LouLou does not even react to those pointy little puppy teeth chomping on her ears - she is such a good girl!

Ive had puppies before and it might be that they were young, but puppy bites don't really hurt. That's just my experience with them when i worked at a shelter, but still keep your hands away from their chompers to be safe

babybluex Ikr...so sweet. Maybe instead of shy, she really likes the texture. My Dexter, a Black and Tan short hair dachshund (just like Loulou and her pups) adores rubbing his face on rugs, pillows, bedspreads...anything that's nubby or has raised texture. If he really approves of it, he does what I call his "chest walk". He walks along whatever it is rubbing his chest and face on it 😂 It's so cute I once videotaped him doing his chest walk on a new rug. Dachshunds are the best.

My parents are in their 70s, and I introduced them to LouLou a few months back, when they got a smart TV and I downloaded the CZcams app. They have tuned in EVERY DAY since to watch her, and nearly EVERY HOUR now too since she had the puppies. They love to see new videos of them. They also say how nice your home is, and have fallen in love with your beautiful town too! So I’m sending their love, for you and LouLou and the pups. Absolutely adorable, those innocent, darling eyes! It is hard to believe that people get puppies & mistreat them! They must be treated like the baby that they are! I pray these babies find good homes!!!!! hugs & thank you for sharing their tiny, little lives with us...it has been an amazing experience!! I have two adult dachshunds, now 14 years old!!!!
My Tristan just turned 14 and still plays with his toys. He is a ginger but also has a beautiful face with high expressive eyes like loulou.
I also have a dog, she’s 10 now but i still treat her like she’s 1. She’s forever my baby and my first love

I love them to the point of missing them when they get adopted, theres nothing wrong with the high pitched puppy voice, that is a nomal pitch to speak to doggos, i like how tank is the only one named.

Cannot get enough of these scrumptious puppies - I think you should keep pink - Lou Lou so gentle with them - especially with her little pink 🐕💕💗
they grow so quickly, its been so nice to see them change right before our very eyes...thank you for sharing their little lives with all of us. WE LOVE YOU LOULOU and family.

Awww they are sooo sweet! That's a good idea with giving them differently colored collars. So sweet how they cuddle up with Loulou! She's a wonderful mother! So glad to see she's doing well now, she has gained her strength back and she's back to normal!
I already have so much anxiety over the puppies leaving for their new homes. It would be so much fun to watch them grow up😊

Please keep Little Girl, she seems to have a stronger relationship with LouLou than the other puppies, dogs are a lot happier living with one or two of thier kids. The cases of mother dogs who get thier puppies taken away that get depression after is low but it's real, it happens most when puppies are taken when they are still breastfeeding, but sadly it can happen with bigger pups too especially if they have already bonded so much with the mother like these ones, it seems to me like it might be too late to give them up for adoption now.. in any case i respect your decision, dogs are hard work. MarinaAndThe Diamonds nothing is what it seems. In the videos it looks like Loulou is with the puppies all day. That is not true. Loulou is lying on the couch most of the time so that the puppies cannot come to her. I love the puppies but it's not good to keep them, not for Loulou and not for the puppies. They have to develop their own character in a new loving family and Loulou wants her 'normal' life back. In the wild, animals do not stay together either. Loulou follows her instinct and is a perfect mother but I see it's time for the puppies to go. Loulou would get stress if they stayed.
MarinaAndThe Diamonds too fast 🙈 ..... Loulou has no preference for a puppy. I hoped so that we could easily make a choice for 1 puppy. This is not the case. The smallest has a great character but so busy and playful. I think she's not the right match with Loulou. She demands a lot of attention from everyone. She has a spicy character.
As an absolute non-expert ☺ / going only by my own experience when I got my own dog (also a mini- dachshund), I consistently read & most breeders' policies (at least in the US) are that puppies shouldn't be sold / leave the litter before at least 7 weeks old. I think you're doing a great job Eveline! ☺

@Chloe Downing It really depends on the litter and the natural progression. Every mother & litter is different. I have seen the mothers start snapping and becoming aggressive with their pups when they stay too long. It can be anywhere from 6-12 weeks when they need to be separated. When the mother is spending most of her time in places trying to get away from them, it's when you know it's time to start interviewing prospective owners and placing them in their new homes to bond with their owners. It's a process that really isn't "one size fits all."
Now I can tell them apart! They are all so sweet & adorable & it tugs at my heart to watch Loulou lovingly playing with her babies. This is the perfect way to start the day! Thanks for sharing 🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤

Loulou's puppies are too kewt for words, especially with coloured collars on. Smallest boy ought to be called Chewy or Chewbacca as he's ALWAYS at Loulou's ears. It's a hard knock life for a Dachshund mom.

OMG! My Loulou and puppy withdrawal was kicking into overdrive til I watched this video. They are perfect little individuals in every way. Love the collars and hope they stick around long enough for me to tell them all apart. Loulou's looking so contented now and her puppies have grown so strong and healthy with the loving care Eveline and family gives them. every time I watch them all i can think is I WANT ONE! Wishing you continued good health and blessings from God and the universe.

I miss my dachshund everytime i see one of these videos he gave me 16 years of joy. They are sturdy smart loyal dogs. Now i have Chihuahua that is high maintenance. He was premature and taken away from mom too young. My wife has to boil chicken twice a week cut all fat scoop fat as it boils rice also. He cant eat anything else or he throws up. But we care for him well. Just tend to forget the dachshund was so healthy. I imagine there are ones out there with health issues too. Thanks for the video i always enjoy them gives me great memorys of my sweet boy pepik.

Many thanks. My family has had three long- haired miniatures dachs: Henry who lasted 17 years, then Digby "the dignified" 15, and then poor Oliver who died at 3.5 years. I now have a dachs/pekinese, Fosca, who was abandoned in the street. 14 yrs later she rules our lives, but that is a dachshund for you. Great video

The little girl with the pink reminds of my little dachshund. She was the runt of the group and a very cuddly. She is 15 years old now and still the same, just with more gray than black.

The pups are now showing different character traits as they grow. For me the tiniest little girl is the most adorable.
