  • Gaelic poet Sorley MacLean featured in Muriel Gray's hillwalking series for Scottish Television, "The Munro Show" (1991-1992). In short segments, often only a few seconds long, he explained, translated and pronounced the names of all the Scottish hills featured in the programme (with the exception of Buachaille Etive Mor, for no obvious reason).
Here are all the Sorley MacLean segments, back to back. For me, they were by far the best bits.

How crazy coincidental is it that you and I had the same idea for a video, and uploaded it a day after each other..

Unable to reproduce any glitches in MacLean's spoken words on my machines, apart from one tiny burst of white noise at the end of one clip. The sound is choppy, because it's a compilation of numerous short clips interspersed with silence, and there is some background noise in several of the clips which makes offset / onset noticeable, but there shouldn't be any difficulty hearing what MacLean is saying.
