Thanks for the overview. Glad you didn’t have to wrestle an alligator!
The gator's like: 'Hey. Nice watch. That's, that's waterproof right? How deep can you go with it? No, don't worry about why I am asking these questions. Maybe look over there for a bit though.'
Great updates from Coros! Great video from Dave!
Thanks for the video, Dave It was nice to hear about the COROS updates coming later in April, wow!
Great review. Thanks Dave.
Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the update tomm for my Apex 2
Good explanation again. Cheers!
Nice one Dave. I’ve had a Garmin for more than 4 years. I don’t feel like the features really ever move forward. For example, I’d like to do some sort of 4x4 training for vo2 max, but there’s no training program for that built into the watch. why not!? The phone app has also gone nowhere and I got the beta the other day that you demo’d, tried it and immediately went back, as it was a backwards step. These coros features seem great. Thanks for the review.
Alligator: I think I am seeing lunch.
Alligator: Are those running shoes?
Alligator: Never mind, he is a runner.
I'm really looking forward to screen mirroring. Thanks for the preview -- and stay away from those gators, I'm counting on you to keep making these videos. 😁
Pretty cool updates. Coros is picking up speed!
I have been using the mirroring to iPhone from Apple Watch on the spin bike. Very useful 👍☀️
We need music that isn’t MP3. Spotify or something where it can easily sync. Amazon music…anything.
Nice features especially the ability to mirror on the phone. I’m guessing the reason garmin don’t provide something similar is they would rather have you buy a separate cycling computer. One thing that might put off a cyclist off getting a coros watch might be the lack of ANT+ support on the most recent watches.
I hope Garmin does this too. Screen mirroring is a great idea.
Nice info !!
Really like what Coros is doing. Am considering switching from Garmin. 👍
Love my Pace 3 and this just makes it better. Are you using a drone to get the running shots where the camera is right in front?
It's a 360 action camera (Insta360 X4) that makes the selfie stick invisible!
Nice one coros
amazing for cycling! coros needs to embrace cycling more. Currently it seems very running focused. Still considering buying coros. The pace of the feature updates is crazy. Or maybe I'll wait for an amoled version?
Coros support for cycling is still pretty weak. I got my coros when i was mostly running; I’m now mostly cycling and wish I’d gone with garmin.
So the phone doesn't need its gps on when mirroring the route on the phone map, right?
Thanks for the update. Really appreciate it. Do you kno if a Garmin inReach mini 2 sink to with a Coros?
InReach and Coros do not get along
I guess that’s understandable….
@0:15 Alligators and swarms of mosquitoes - what a scenic backdrop! All those same-looking “shoe box-houses”.
Who wants to live there if you don’t have to?
Those houses were pretty baller. Huge!
@@ChaseTheSummit They should be huge, because outside the alligators are waiting for you 😎👍
Gators scare the hell out of me. 🐊
Are you able to organize mp3s into playlists on the COROS pace 3?
Nope
Mirroring - so now I can put watches in biceps, like Coros HR monitor, and have accurate values there. So no need of any other device.😂🎉
Does the update include an aligator detection mode?
It will be coming in the next update 🐊
good morning the "screen mirroring" navigation, do you know if it will also be available for the "Pace 3" thanks
Screenshot at 2:49 says all watches except the Pace 1 and original Apex
Yes, just not the pace 1 or Apex 1.
Is it true or did I just imagine that during my run on a planned route the Coros Pacer 3 gave me vibration alerts BEFORE an upcoming turn (and not only just after I’ve missed it). Only trouble is that we can’t programme the timing of the alert in terms of distance to the turn. 50m before a turn might be enough for a run but not for skiing.
It will alert you before the turn but yes it's a bit finicky in that the timing can be off in some situations.
Anyone else not seeing the screen mirror icon that’s supposed to show up in the upper left hand corner?
Yeah, you have to screen mirror your track to the phone if you don't have mapping on your watch :D Sarcastic Fenix user here.
The Apex 2 and Vertix series watches do have mapping. But the maps are not routeable like a Fenix. However with this new mirroring function it's pretty close since you can use your phone to create a route and sync over to the watch in real time to follow the route. Pretty cool stuff!
Nowadays not yet got the april update.... 😢
Okay, glad I sold my 955 solar before, will purchase pace 3 since seems like they want to go to cycling now.
You might regret it. I drank some of the Coros kool-aid; in the end going back to Garmin. Just too many things that are not polished in the UI (or half-baked features). Especially not being able to edit a workout - like trim time or modify a strength training workout (sets/reps/weight). The FR955 was a frustrating watch to use at times, but Coros products will bring another set of frustrations too.
@@splatmatt yeah, currently downgrading at the moment since I need money elsewhere. But interesting thing about garmin would be how the software "just works", and I love the desktop dashboard before.
But the one that I hate is that, I love 255 form factor as 955 was too bulky, but the feature from 265 is just locked there for newer product (readiness etc)
Would be similar to how garmin provide climbpro on newer cyclo only, meanwhile wahoo able to update old device to have it.
stuck between apex 2 (non pro) and pace 3 help! currently have a series 8 and battery life as known is not good
It really comes down to the build quality and the maps. The Apex series has metal, and a sapphire display. The Pace 3 is all plastic but it is a bit lighter. Apex 2 also gets the mapping feature while the Pace 3 has basic breadcrumb maps.
Any news on the corps vertical 3?
👀
Man, it's just nuts how you are able to run holding a stick in one hand.
My balance would be all over the road.
Lots of practice lol.
Did they fix real time lag issue for displaying runnkng pace?
lag is about 20 seconds
If it just had airplane mode. I like to keep my watch on airplane mode and then sync at the end of the day. Probably worrying too much but don’t want constant emf on my wrist. I do the same with my Oura.
Bluetooth off?
If I run off Bluetooth off my phone it turns everything else off. It doesn’t give you an option in the watch so it is still constantly trying to search for a phone. If it is available on the watch, let me know. Thanks!
@@chriscarpunky Hey Chris, Darian from COROS here. We don't have an "airplane mode" at the moment as Bluetooth connections on planes aren't an issue (same reason you can use Bluetooth headphones on a plane) for plane communications at all. If the concern is is EMF, we would recommend shutting the watch off as a band-aid solution at the moment. Based on what we have seen in studies, the EMF exposure from a watch worn all the time is significantly less (500 to 1) compared to things like being outdoors in the sun, so we have not made it a development priority at the moment but always are open to keeping up to date with new info and adjusting accordingly!
Cool new features but still no music control for the phone 😢
Really like that it has not unnecessary options like paying, music and calling. Just want a watch that is specified on sports. Do not want to pay for other options I do not need. You want music buy some extra device for music.
Have GPS tracks improved for Apex 2 Pro since its release or is it just as meh?
This update does nothing in terms of GPS accuracy.
I just wanted to know your experience if it has improved over the time or not. But most likely you haven’t run with Apex 2 too much to comment
I would love to see maps on Pace 3.
Unfortunately it doesn't have the internal storage capacity or processing power for maps. Maybe in the Pace 4 down the road?
@@ChaseTheSummit Yeah, sounds too out of the world of the current possibilites, but imo it would be a positive market disruption (for us - consumers).
Matching outfit from two different days.
Truth is, I like that outfit so I wear it a lot. This was 100% a coincidence.
Are we not thinking this will come to the Garmin lineup eventually?
Time will tell!
🐊
Do you have to keep the app open in the background on an iPhone like Garmin?
Yes, that's an apple thing not a Coros/Garmin thing.
Another nail in Garmins coffin ❤️ COROS
When the make a AMOLED version that will be the nail in the Garmin coffin. They are way too expensive for what they actually do.
@@Mattbriggs85 MIPS is way better I like a tool watch not something lit up like a Christmas tree 🎄
Not a chance. Garmin has a huge market share and most of them are just general users who don't use half the features. I don't even look at other devices as I am a happy Garmin users with all my data for years in the Garmin ecosystem.
@@AML.3891even if they make a good product that doesn't automatically high volumes of users will transfer over. It really doesn't work that way.
Are these features already on the vertix 2s?
Yes
@@ChaseTheSummit thank you.
I live in Florida. I wouldn’t stand that close to the water esp with your back to the water brother
Limited options for filming locations 😂 I made it out alive!
This watch brand could make me leave Apple. I need a traditional strength algorithm that has a lot of time put into.
Great for cycling, but a miss where Coros has ignored other feature requests by many users. Like: remote music control of smartphone music apps, backlight controls, edit workouts during and after (reps/sets, weight amount, or trim an activity time), live tracking to name a few.
I’m indifferent on most of those but the ability to edit a workout after is badly missed. Great watches other than that.
Its a sport watch all that extra stuff like paying and music distracted from the sport features.
@@jblizzard962 Ok - I don't disagree. However on my recovery runs I do enjoy some music. Regardless, not being able to edit workouts is just stupid. The features added in this feature update is just unnecessary fluff too.
@@jblizzard962 I wish it had paying functionality. There is occasions when being on a run but not bringing my phone, and the ability to buy a snack or an emergency bus home would be very beneficial!
I couldn’t care less about music functionality also 👍
Hey @splatmatt, Darian from COROS here. We have not ignored these requests and I can say that specifically music control, editing workouts, and live tracking are all being looked into (some being tested currently) and hope to release these soon!
What? You didn't go for a swim there? 😆
He didn’t want to be lunch
Siema brachu
Coros needs to team up with Peloton
Hmm... in what way?
Still no dedicated MTB activity :(
I ask the same to Coros, from Spain 🤣. dedicated MTB activity….
They are working on it.
Coros may not be taking much from garmin, but they are taking some of the ppl looking for watches.
Suunto and Polar need to be a bit more concerned if anything.. imo
Agreed! COROS has moved very fast over the past few years.
μου λείπεις...
You know more people kill alligators than alligators kill people.
I live in Massachusetts. So no, I know nothing about alligators lol.

Vidéo interessante, mais je n'ai pas tenu jusqu'au bout. J'ai horreur des gens qui crient quand ils expliquent quelque chose. Même si vous êtes enthousiaste, c'est stressant à la fin
Hate is a strong word lol.
Did not know insta360 did this with Apple Watch. Do you have a video of the setup for this?
It's pretty simple. From within insta360's app while editing in "pro" mode you can click "stats" and select either Garmin Connect or Apple Health. The app automatically chooses the correct activity based on the time stamps and drops the data overlays on top!
@@ChaseTheSummit this is awesome!
