Etho’s head is definitely the coolest collectable.

Yeah Etho heads used to be collectable, but then a ton of them washed up on Gem's shore. ^.~

I love how Gem doesn't even bother setting her spawn for the Mumbo fight because she knows there's zero risk involved for her.

It has come full circle. Impulse accidentally poked through to Gem's village when he dug the hole. Now Gem poked through to Impulse's roof.
You should make one of the amour stands etho doing a training arc to prove that he's not "washed up" 😂
To be fair to Etho. He did really well in the last episode of Limited Life, but that's partly because he really did take the right engagements.
@@martijn9568 he did really well. He was in top 5 and that too because he was too nice. Like giving pearl a free PvP kill as he felt bad, and refusing to take 2v1ing people as he felt it would be unfair. Unfortunately he was 1v2 ed by Scott and Martin in the end, guess he's too nice for the life series :p
@@shiveniitkgp he did kill bdubs and scar twice and trick them and cleo to get impulse a triple kill, he also participated in the burning of bread Bridge. So uh yeah.
@@Munirakil the tnt catch kill on scar and Bdubs was hilarious, none of them knew when they would explode and they did it to themselves tbh. Etho could've very well died there too :p
And if you look at Etho's perspective, he wasn't tricking Cleo and scar to stay there and he didn't even know impulse was above them about to go red.

Mario is one of the last human survivors, tryna conquer the vicious plant that somehow was able to wipe the previous human settlements in pearl's area
Put it in the cleaning truck and it's the Pearlahna plant.

I love how elves are usually portrayed and whimsical and magical but Gem is the chaotic murderous elf.

Archers practising with swords makes perfect sence. They can have a arming sword for close combat.

0:10 I guess the market value for Etho jeads has really gone down given the large supply.
I think you could use stairs for the legs, so they don't look so blocky and awkward on a close distant, while the more blocky body still looks good from a far and needs no change.
Anyone else suddenly want to watch gem play as a red-haired Archer / warrior through both horizon games?
I wonder if building some kind of big ship(s) to semi cover up impulse’s farm in the distance would be cool. I feel like you could come up with some really cool Elven boat designs. Also might look cool from up at the base with the statues on either side. Just something to think about. Awesome video as always!

Not the expected start to the video, but a good use of all of those extra etho heads! Silly doc, thinking he could defeat our GeminiSlay that easily. I really like the white dress on the statue! I feel like it stands out nicely against the darker backdrop of the spruce trees, but matches with the white paths that you laid. I love how much detail has gone into this base and how it's all coming together!

I’ve built a couple of coastal villages in the past, and I have to say: I love yours! It looks so good, the statues really tie it together, and it really inspires me. Great build!

I loved seeing you play with the armor stands, i think its such an underrated feature for giving life to builds
I love that Gem's base is constantly evolving and never really finished, because there are always parts (like the village houses) that can be transformed into her own style. It's teaching me that a base doesn't have to be done in one step, and that adapting and changing the minecraft landscape and structures is a good way to customize your world step by step

Watching the Gem build is inspiring, I always end the videos with lots of ideas for my base.
There's something very unnerving about someone who has dinner with the severed heads of her enemies, and acts as though they are still living.

Hiya Gem! I'm enjoying your video this morning. You had me cracking up laughing walking up there to a giant table surrounded with Etho's heads on the armor stands. You know your statues came out so good, and I think Impulse could use a couple in his base! How about one each of you, Impulse, and Pearl dancing around in his huge base? It would be a great shenanigan to return for all the Impulse swag in your base. Thank you again for this episode, and series!!!

With a little bit of cheeky flowing water and some armour stands, you could create a shooting range that the hermits can use to practice on moving targets :D

The statues look like giant defenders of the village and kingdom, that come to life only under the most dire of circumstances. They've been dormant for hundreds of years, but one day they may move again!

One of the most essential part of any project is staring at it. Multiple times, for extended periods 😄
The two statues makes me think of a lore where after centuries and maybe even millennias the villagers thought that the two statues are two separate people. One teaching them archery, while the other teaching them swordsmanship.
The archery twin being the older one, let's call her Gemini, was the one who founded the village and possibly the kingdom when exploring with her hunting friends (in tradition, typically includes a dwarf named Imnples, and a "foreign" looking woman named Perl. People would include other characters in mythology depending on the teller, but those two are consistent except for Perl's physical description).
Meanwhile her younger twin Tay, was back in their original village, Spawn. In there, she eventually tasked herself on a quest to conquer an ancient city found in the depth of the ocean in search for the fabled Prismarine. After, conquering it with a ragtag group of friends along the way, her and her long time companion, Tress (Stressmonster) looted the city and brought back some of the most prized treasures to their village.
The two sister were able to reunite after Gemini laid claim over her side of the land with the dwarf Imnples. She headed back to Spawn village to tell her sister of their new home. Together they made their journey back to the new lands and on the very cliff side where the elves and the dwarves meet, Tay placed the light stone from the sunken city she looted and it grew to a marvelous pillar. Tay smiled at this site and said, "Yes, this is home."
I've been on a mythology binge for a while along with listening to EPIC the musical on repeat so this popped up in my head, so yeah.
The archery area adds so much life! And the statues really help frame the village. As always, great work Gem!
The statues are awesome. Especially the sword one. A diagonal weapon like that is tricky. Very impressive.
The shaders flyby at the end definitely sold how cool the new builds are!

For the trampled ground, I'd like to suggest adding packed mud to the mix, it's a very good path block that's still a full block height. And it's additional texture to the mushroom and coarse dirt.

All this archery build, training, barracks, and you kick out the villagers without even giving them the chance to be you official fletchers supplying all your elves with their needed supplies.

Fun fact: Mining Gravel with a Fortune III pickaxe will always give you flint.

Realistically, you would want the backdrop behind the archery range to be a wall of hay, since it's dense enough for the arrows to stick in, but loose enough that you could retrieve them without breaking them. Of course, this is Minecraft so it doesn't work that way, and the stripped logs look better.
If you do a arena for sword-fighting you could have a horn that says "Swords up Shields ready Fight!" Keep up the amazing work Gem :)

gem oh my gosh this area is so gorgeous!! the archery quarter is absolutely perfect, and the statues look amazing!
In medieval times (I know Gem is doing an elven base but lots of fantasy stuff is based on that time period so i feel like this still applies), towns and cities would display the heads of criminals or enemy forces on city gates or walls as a warning and coastal towns in particular would display pirate heads on harbour walls or around docks for similar reasons. If you're looking for something to do with all the etho heads, you could do something similar around your base

"Archery Training Area". There's a word for that, a word you can still see in some old street names- the ones in the videos about slightly rude place names to snigger over. The word you want- if the internet can handle it- is "Butts"

i can picture a young elf practicing their archery withthe targets and looking at the statue, adjusting their stance to mimic The Great Archer. For a moment they feel like they are one with that powerful figure, a fire in their heart to do just as She would:
