After contacting the fire department about the siren I found out that it tests every Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Though I did have some skepticism they were right it does test. The reason however why it is so quiet is because in early 2010s the siren was modified to be quieter (104 db vs 116 db). I'm pretty sure they've achieved this by running it on lower voltages. They have also shortened the test by 2 seconds to avoid the siren reaching a uncomfortable noise level for people near by. The noise levels however were perfectly safe before however they were quite annoying especially if the siren goes off daily. The reason why the siren is modified is unknown. I personally think that the siren had fallen at one point however I cannot be sure of this. Other than that there's nothing really much to say about this siren other than it hopefully will not be shut off in the future.
    Siren Info:
Siren - Federal Signal Model 5 (commonly referred as the Model 7)
Testing Time - Every Saturday at 6 pm
Time When Sounded - 6:00 PM
    Date - 7-20-24
    db reading - 104 db
Other Notes - This siren is running on a lower voltage to reduce noise, the modified housing was most likely a repair to the siren.

Sometimes I'm amazed how these things stay up on an old wooden pole for decades. Those models 3,5, 7, ST's and other large sirens are heavy as hell and vibrate like crazy and yet, they stay up.

If you ever end up watching the ACA documentary from 1979, the detail how they’re able to stay up sometimes.

I hear the Federal siren by my house in New Milford NJ but we had Gamewell Diaphones since the 1990s and 2000s now we have a Federal siren by Trenton Street by Company 2 where Henley Ave is and River Road You should do another Federal siren by River edge by Dunkin Donuts and by the Elmentry schools but I do remember seeing a Federal siren by Interstate where Mc Donalds and 711 that was a failed Siren

Yes, I am planning to do one in the future. That is very interesting about New Milford as well.

It’s actually not, the town actually modified it so it would run like that because of noise complaints. Originally the three sirens were going to be shut off because of noise complaints however they decided to modify them instead to only peek at 104 dB during tests and other uses.

What time does the Model 7 siren usually go off like 7pm weekly for the Noon test

This one does not go off at noon, this one goes off at 6:00 PM every Saturday. They’re usually pretty on time.
