THE CHANDLERS - YOUR LOVE MAKES ME LONELY (COL SOUL)

- "Formed in Columbus’ far east side Shepard neighborhood in the mid ’60s,
the doo-wopping original Chandlers cast of James "Chipper" Johnston,
Eric Younger, Kenny Brown, Raymond Muse, and Loren Miller were musically
rudderless until meeting Dwight and Greg Cartier of fledgling stage band
The Soul T's. These combined forces won many an Eastmoor High School talent show,
but their creative engine revved at the 1967 arrival of songwriter Jeff Smith.
Smith's fingerprints are all over the group's Col Soul and Chandler singles,
both recorded with the definitive Chandlers line-up of Johnston, Younger,
Brown, and Richard "Chick" Brown, brother to Kenny.
The quartet disbanded in the early 1970s, disappearing from music entirely
save Eric Younger's stint in the late ’70s with Bahama Mama."
