smokergrillgir... Step-by-step tutorial on how to change the pellets on a Pit Boss Pro Series 820. It’s extremely easy to do, just go to the back of the hopper, remove the screw and the flap and watch the pellets drop out of the hopper.
You may have to use your hand to remove the ones that are left in the hopper. You can also opt to vacuum out any excess hoppers or just add the new pellets to the top of the remaining pellets.
We added the competition blend pellets on top of the apple to cook hamburgers and really couldn't tell a difference. You don't want to change out the pellets too often as it causes a bunch of dust and can cause the pellets to break down.
