    Stena is cheaper and in my opinion, better than P&O. I used to be a truck driver contracted to P&O Ferrymasters, and we were normally routed either Stena or Sea France, because they were cheaper, so reserving the more expensive berths for fare paying passengers. Funnily enough I have never been on the ferry in a car, lost count of how many crossings in a truck.

    • @tarkanyibalazs
      @tarkanyibalazs Před 9 lety +5

      Just like many "right-siders" can drive on the left too :) for me it took like 3 turns to the right and a roundabout to get used to it. Actually getting off either the ferry or the train is the trickiest part, gotta force yourself to watch which lanes you are using since you just jumped to a totally different driving habit. The lane systems are getting better and safer with every year, and today are pretty obvious, but the first turns can actually trick you.
      Damn I almost got a heart attack when after 2000 kms in Europe I went to England and at the first turn from the CT I almost took a bad curve and went straight up against the oncoming traffic... Luckily my *youidiot sense* started tingling.

Want to go for buying a lot of fishing gear which is much cheaper in the UK compared with Holland and they do not send fishingrods because of the length. Have to drive a few hundred km in the UK. Have to try it once.

    Considering all the Van rental, Ferry and parking fees plus gas, Would you say driving from London to Paris is cheaper than air or train travel? We're 8 and I've been asking around how to save money. Thank you?

    • @tarkanyibalazs
      @tarkanyibalazs Před 9 lety

      Although you asked 1 year ago I'd answer it anyways: considering that you are 8 it is significantly cheaper to go by car, either taking the tunnel or the ferry (I recommend the tunnel, its way faster, and even cheaper) than to fly. Actually I think you can make your trip by car from half the money you would spend on plane tickets, not to mention car rental (or "oysters" for public transport). Charles De Gaulle Airport is god damn far from Paris, though it's part of the city officially as far as I know...

      +christopher gemmel The lyrics websites I visited say it was written by Alexander Perls. If you're so sure you know better, why don't you actually tell us who actually wrote it instead of getting on my case? Better yet, why didn't you answer the guy's original question to help they him out? At least I was trying to help him.
