Don't ever be sorry for loving great music. Nothing else in life can flood your mind with forgotten memories and buried emotions like music does. It's like a time travel machine for your head and heart.
One of the most heartfelt, heartbreaking and heartwrenching ballads I've ever heard. The ferocity of the guitars (acoustic and electric), the quietly forceful drums, the pulsing bass throb and the gently swirling keyboards in the background combine with the bluesy, boozy vocal, at once both cathartic and cynical, to give the song a tangible, almost painful physical presence. In the right frame of mind, this song, along with Cinderella's "Nobody's Fool" and MSG's "Anytime", will induce tears to the point of a throbbing headache. And indeed; when my ex and I broke up, I had these three songs on repeat. All night.
I know this is an old comment but we gotta be kin. Same here brother. Hard to believe after all those years I still feel the same way about that woman now. I have Nobody's Fool on the very next song of my playlist. I'd give anything to go back to the days before these songs really meant something to me and have her in my arms again.
Shane Bailey I had the same feeling about my ex wife back in 1993 after getting home from my second deployment. After a year of frolicking with multiple women, I met the one woman that I’m now currently married almost 22 years too!
As a child, I used to listen to Great White with my dad all of the time. We were allowed to pick out a cd to listen to at bedtime when we stayed the night with him, and Great White was one of my fav's. Next weekend, I finally get to see them live on the river front, I only wish dad could be there too!
FL3M SH4DY Of course there was rap in the 80s ,anyone from the 80s realizes that and 80s rap was better then the shit today. again more reason to show our youth roots of music.
Thanksman you clearly don't listen to anything current or you obviously are too dumb to realize that not everything in 80s music was good. there's still great rock and metal and rap today you're just too lazy to find it.
Omg...Bloody Brilliant. I love how you hear a song and you automatically go back to that time. And the 80's....Idk what it was but it was some of the best times of my life.
As a 57 yo Metal Head who was privileged to have experienced the Hair Metal era, it is so gratifying to see a whole new generation of Rockers discover 80's Metal Music. The overwhelming majority of comments made bear this out. This song is by far the best Metal ballad of all time. Thank you Jack Russell, this song is timeless...
Todays rock music cannot even come close to the musical talent, arrangement and pure heart that the 80's bands had. Those days are long gone, a truly treasured time.
Man, this is one of those few songs you get in life, that just . . . . takes you someplace. Someplace secret. A place ONLY you can go. Yours alone, because it IS you. Your most important loved ones, your wife, your girlfriend, your kids . . are not here. JUST you. There ARE others here. But they're more images/feelings than individuals. There is alot of 'love at first sight' emotions here. Fleeting images of overwhelming beauty and instantaneous lust. Ones that got away. Here lie dreams unrealized, passions forgotten, opportunities squandered. Paths unchosen, entirely different lives that could/would have been yours, had you just turned right instead of left. Or summoned the courage to kiss that girl/boy. Taken/turned down that job offer . . . But . . this is not a bad place. There is no fear here. Theres a comfortable feeling of familiarity here. Its . . . its bittersweet, melancholia realized. This is not a pity place. You LIKE being here, like feeling those strange echos of wanting, of 'what could have been', of a disconnected existence that would have led to a much different reality. Yeah, thats where songs like this (its that almost haunting feeling conveyed by the excellently programmed synths/keyboards in this song that really set it apart, IMHO) take me, every time, anywhere I hear it. (FWIW, another song that takes me to this place is 'Special' by Garbage, and 'Kid' by the Pretenders . . .)
That is so deep!!! I especially love hearing this song and others like it while driving late at night on a lonely road looking at the stars and reminiscing on all of those lost memories or what was and what could have been... Another song that has this same effect on me is Far Behind by Candlebox
THE BEST GREAT WHITE OF ALL TIMES ARE FROM 6+1 PEOPLE 1, Jack Russell - lead vocals 2, Mark Kendall - lead guitar, backing vocals 3, Michael Lardie - rhythm guitar, keyboards, harmonica, backing vocals 4, Audie Desbrow - drums, percussion 5, Lorne Black - bass guitar, backing vocals (1982-1987) 6, Tony Montana - bass guitar, backing vocals (1987-1992) and former drummer Gary Holland (1982-1985) CRYSTAL!!! BRILIANT!!! EXCELENT!!! Russell's voice, Lardie's rhytm-harp guitar, Kendall's electric guitar with perfect drums of Desbrow and super bass play Black... THIS ONE AND ANGEL SONG ARE IN METAL BALLADS HISTORY FOR ME IN TOP 10 OF ALL TIMES!
I had a lady for 15 year's now we don't talk I think I lost my best friend I'm 46y old. I don't know or how to cope. But this song is for her Beck. I will always be there if you need
Kurt Donceel yeah this song and Scorpions - Born to Touch Your Feelings and Guns 'n' Roses - November Rain bring me back memories for my Big lost love who i lost, I'm sorry is didn't true she lost me, but I love her still..
I wake in the night To find you on my mind Deep in a dream, You'll always be Until the end of time I look in your eyes They touch my soul My love is hard to hide I'm never alone when we're apart. I feel you by my side And here in my heart, Where no one else will ever be I know who you are, So lock the door and throw away the key Save all your love Save your love for me When I'm alone at night, You're all I see I wake from a dream And see you by my side How could I belong to someone else, When holdin' you feels so right? And here in my heart Where no one else will ever be We've made it so far, So lock the door and throw away the key Save all your love Save all your love for me When I'm alone at night, You're all I see Save all your love Save your love for me Don't turn your back on me You're all I need Save your love, Save your love, Save all your love Save all your love
They were one of my favorite bands ever and I rocked out to them many times in the 80's. And they never did get the credit they deserved as a rock band.
Growing up in my youth our generation had some of the best music that's out there, they put there heart, and soul into it. just can't get any better than that.
Definitely an underrated song & band! So intense & beautiful! Thanks to you Great White for your awesome contribution to 80's metal & to music overall! Rock on!!
I never bought albums in the 80's (or any era for that matter) for their looks. I bought them for sound - and these guys were my go-to band aside from Poison and the Crüe. Just as talented. I miss the 80's because there was no way to label the music from then. It was a very eclectic mix. Having bands like this, The Cure, Jane's Addiction, Dire Straits, Faith No More, INXS, The Smiths and countless one hit wonders. You just can't identify "80's music" but this was damned good shit.
These songs just seem to take me back to when times were good, when all we had to worry about was getting gas money to go out on saturday nights, we just grab our girl and were magicaly whisked away to another place and time...Thanks for the post uploader!
being an 80's baby and a fan of great white, whitesnake, the cult, journey, scorpions, dokken,ac/dc sabbath, dio tesla, yes etc this song was the number 1 power riff of all time. jack russell was not just a frontman but a legend that still lives on forever. we all loved the music as this was our anthem for everlasting love. we lived the lifestyle and there will never be a band to touch this melodic rock of yesteryear. long live the 80's!!!!
Gotta give the credit, never liked the band but this one and Angel Song gets me badly. What a strange feeling missing the 80's when you never even lived them.
I know the feeling ladies, but I capture it all back every time I go see one of my favorite bands from that era. I just seen Motley Crue & Alice Cooper a few months ago. I try and talk metal with every youngster I come across including my own children who are now having kids themselves...Look out Grand children!! lol You don't ever have to give up the things you love in this life, the only difference now is that we have more money to those things, lmao. Cherish who you are and who you have become. Long Live Heavy Metal and all the ballads too.
@ Kat Longress -- Indeed! P.S. - The guy that posted directly below (Devon H) is making me feel rather old and out of touch because I have never heard of the band he is making reference to. I guess I've been more entrenched in the 70's and 80's than I've realized.
yeah kat i remember it quite well to i saw them on thistour with whitesnake and i remember hearing jack sing this song it made my skin crawl its almost like its really a real feeling for him but they were great '
i don't blame them, for what happened, but I can't listen to them, without feeling for so many!!! this is the exception, its a beautiful tune, reminds me of my love, who now is only in my dreams, and forever in my heart, RIP,,,, MICHELLE, SAVE YOUR LOVE,, BABY SAVE ALL YOUR LOVE,, FOR ME, 🐅
Just left a similar Dad shout out on GWs House of Broken Love. Ditto tho, he passed on to me the best taste in rock 'n roll music from mid 60s thru early 90s. And I shared with Dad the very best selections relevant to my generation; we are grounded in good solid tunes....But those crazy eighties are where its at, and yes I am a true 80s Baby.
I don't care that all the good music from the 80's and 90's is gone and everything new is crap I have 3000 songs to like until the end of my life and this one is part of it. Long live hard rock !!!
I lived this era....we rocked a generation and we are still rocking the next and beyond. Enjoy my friends. This is when we chose to rock the world with love and lyrics that may never be known again....
see them in concert 3x and got backstage every time! It was the best times to be 16-19 in the late 80's, the music was the best back then and it was WILD!!! Great white kicks ass!!!
loved the 80 for the original deep writing and music that has not been repeated in it's originality the music we got through the 80 great and the best of decades from then and on. Glad i grew up through a good time!
I'm very sorry for your loss, Angie. He was 10 months younger than me. 32 years is beautiful to see. May you and yours always be blessed and cherished.
Girl hang in to them because I decided it to a woman I was with for 21years and she left me because she wanted to screw around on me is there any good woman out there any more I haven't found one if there is let me know. Wild child
My first time listening to this since 2/20/2003. That day changed everything about life for me. I was a survivor of the fire. RIP to the 101 souls that are still there.
I grew up in the mid 70's all thru thaw 19780's been to alot of conserts an I tell ya great was an amazing band .i downloads some songs to my playlist to listen to at work ..i cry every time I hear House of broken love . Why? Well that's how it is atmy house for the past 2 years no. Bullshit .that song hits every word 😱
This takes me back to those stoner days and I had a special girl back then and got my heart broke but time healed my heart and I just kept on and rocking my metal til this day. the so called metal sucks today.
This song is so awesome, takes me back to a much happier place, b4 my husband died in 1990 he always said this was our song, along with some other ones, I miss you Baby
i love this type of music i have always listen to this type. The music today juat sucks realy bad. its no good, but the music from the 60s to the 90s is tye best. im only 18 i listen to this all the time
Sadly the Rhode Island fire completely killed any chance they had of staging a major comeback or being remembered well. A lot of people still personally blame Jack Russell (and the band), especially the survivors.
I remember these dudes back in the day lol I think they named themselves great white I never forget About this song was played on Radio back in the day since the 1980's lol this video pretty good though because they play this video on metal mania along time ago and I miss those days anyway because I said so!
Boy do I miss this music! It's keeping me sane tonight because I am losing it! It makes me think about the only man I ever loved in my life. Hoping that he's going to see me soon. If all goes according to plan, I want it to last forever!
Right on!! Love It - finally a good comment from someone who grew up in the 80's. I feel sorry for the poor souls that didn't get to experience such great music when it first came out!
I Know Who You Are We Come So Far So Babe Stay With Me Yeah Save All You Love Save You For Me Don't Turn Your Back On Me Your All I Need Save Your Love Save Your Love Save All Your Love .............
This Is a prime example something we have lost back then was such a great era to grow up in and music everything really was the best era to grow up in things were simpler and better this sonf has many many fond memories
I did and it was fabulous. Keg parties, great concerts, cool people. You would have loved it. Not tied to cell phones or computers all day. Seems like there was so much time to do everything you wanted. No stress....
I always love reading comments like this on 80s rock videos. Thank you!.. yes I feel blessed to have grown up in that era. The songs were melodic, and the lyrics had deeper meaning. And they sang it like they meant it! So glad younger people are checking out older music. I don't blame you at all. Rock on!
Don't ever be sorry for loving great music. Nothing else in life can flood your mind with forgotten memories and buried emotions like music does. It's like a time travel machine for your head and heart.
@metaspherz 100% agree with you bro.....rock on to this great shit
*I Will Always Save All Of My Love For The 80's*
I left all my love in the 80s and that's where it will always be.

A great heart touching voice and a great power ballad of the best 80s,I'm glad I grew up in the 80s
Big hair, 93X in the twin cities, high school memories. A bygone era that seems so distant, but feels like it was yesterday. Sigh

It was hot rockin 104.1 back then
I turned 18 in 1980 and for the next decade it was amazing.Freaking ground shaking concerts. And amazing lyrics and personalities.
God this is good, even all these years later, will never forget it...
I wake in the night
To find you on my mind
Deep in a dream,
You'll always be
Until the end of time
I look in your eyes
They touch my soul
My love is hard to hide
I'm never alone when we're apart.
I feel you by my side
And here in my heart,
Where no one else will ever be
I know who you are,
So lock the door and throw away the key
Save all your love
Save your love for me
When I'm alone at night,
You're all I see
I wake from a dream
And see you by my side
How could I belong to someone else,
When holdin' you feels so right?
And here in my heart
Where no one else will ever be
We've made it so far,
So lock the door and throw away the key
Save all your love
Save all your love for me
When I'm alone at night,
You're all I see
Save all your love
Save your love for me
Don't turn your back on me
You're all I need
Save your love,
Save your love,
Save all your love
Save all your love

They were one of my favorite bands ever and I rocked out to them many times in the 80's. And they never did get the credit they deserved as a rock band.
That's because they came at the end of the Rock era. I always loved them.
Growing up in my youth our generation had some of the best music that's out there, they put there heart, and soul into it. just can't get any better than that.
Maybe we can't turn back time or ever get those days back but w/these ballads we can for sure remember the good ol days. Great memories. #still rockin

I never bought albums in the 80's (or any era for that matter) for their looks. I bought them for sound - and these guys were my go-to band aside from Poison and the Crüe. Just as talented. I miss the 80's because there was no way to label the music from then. It was a very eclectic mix. In 30 years our kids will look back and say "Man, I miss 2020!" NOT!
I just heard this song, I love it almost as much as I love the person who sent it to me!!!!##hooked

Went with my mom and seen them live. Great band. I miss the 80s. Great music
My first time listening to this since 2/20/2003. That day changed everything about life for me. I was a survivor of the fire. RIP to the 101 souls that are still there.

I was 11 years old and i heard this song so much on the brazilian radio rock station, in 1989!
I was a 'metal teen' on the 80's.
This song is so awesome, takes me back to a much happier place, b4 my husband died in 1990 he always said this was our song, along with some other ones, I miss you Baby

Now this is true and real talent. Superb singing. Band is so good and just plain gifted!!! Rock on!!👍
I don't think they ever really got the respect they deserve as a band
ILUV2RANTTV They lost it after Rhode Island.
they did until the fire . it was horrible
ILUV2RANTTV None of them really did, even halfway decent ines
Sadly the Rhode Island fire completely killed any chance they had of staging a major comeback or being remembered well. A lot of people still personally blame Jack Russell (and the band), especially the survivors.
That club fire that killed those people hurt there popularity I rhink
Great Band.

One of thebest power ballads ever. Rock will never be the same!
Wish I would have grown up in the 80s Era, much better time music wise. Nowadays music is just disgusting.
long live rock and roll.....
Rock on!
it was a great era for music!!!! So glad I was there
I did I graduated in 1987 and it was a kick-ass..the absolute best teenage years!!!
Jack Russell and lzzy hale on this song would be great
