- The Fusion had more ups and downs in their inaugural season than most. Let's take a look at them. Try not to give us heart attacks in stage 2 though, ok?

2:40 so what you're saying...is that Philadelphia Fusion, is a Fusion of different teams from different places?
And all this time I thought it was named after D.Va's Fusion Cannons
TheMasterKrook Poko Bomb?
more like fusion bombs.
i agree with this 100%. it was a wild roller coaster for the fusion and i supported the team because of shadowburn and because im from philly. I'm proud that they were able to get second place and hope to see them fight harder next season. wonderful review good sir
I lost my voice yelling Carpe attending the grand finals, my man did so much this season
Philly is hogging the DPS talent essentially
And "hog"ging all the road talent
I think London got the best though
Carpe is better then birding, but Profit is def better then EqO
vR Toxic eeeeeh that’s debatable, carpe got destroyed by birdring stage 1, and then birdring got a wrist injury and sort of fell off until finals.
You should make a top 10 contenders players video and where they should go in the league. Love the vids byes!
I meant to say btw* at the end
No Skill Gameplay Just edit your comment
No Skill Gameplay runaway is number 1 without a doubt
Also for the future, imagine what trades they can get for Shadowburn.
Gavin Williamson yeah I also fell they can trade fctfcton for snillo
I love how you mentioned the diversity of the team, I always bring it up when talking about the teams
i've been living for this series since you've started it. Really excited for the London vid soon :eyes:
I don’t want this series to be over :(
dhcvolt
He *COULD* do Contenders.
My team. So proud of them all. Even if we didn't win, just goes to show what hard work and new additions does to a team.
Everyone thought we were going to be in the lower half at the end, and I wasn't expecting us to stomp everyone like NYXL.
What I was expecting was good fights, and that's what Philly brought every single game.
Can't wait for Season 2 so we can ride this roller coaster all over again.
How do you make these videos so quickly. They must be a lot of effort to make...
Ive pretty much been working all day
I love the consistent output of high quality content. Probably some of the best OWL related content.
Love this video as a massive Fusion fan but I’m gonna have to disagree when it comes to the tanks and supports, at least in regards to Neptuno on Mercy and Poko on off tank. Neptuno may have had far and away the most kills as Mercy but if you look at his other stats, he was actually near the top in both healing and rez stats, as well as near the bottom in deaths. If you ask me, he was second in the league only to Ark when it came to Mercy play. And as for Poko, mechanically he was one of the best Dva’s in the league, consistently putting up great stats even when the fusion played poorly and in spite of playing beside a main tank who either wasn’t great on Winston or didn’t speak the same language. Not to mention his Zarya play which was among the top 3 best Zaryas in the league.

As a fusion fan, this season was a rollercoaster. I never would’ve guessed we’d make it to the play offs, and it was such an incredible run. The amenities we have are great, but I think ultimately what contributed to our success was having an environment that encouraged unity and alleviated unnecessary issues. I’m really proud of the fusion bois
dude, legit you're one of the best youtubers i've seen. they are all really entertaining and well made. ive been here since 1k and i dont plan on stopping watching and supporting your vids, and i'm really happy for your success, man. :)
Dude I love these videos, they're so well done and provide a good look back on what has happened, really chill to watch and I love the vibe. Hope you do it for Season 2 aswell! (Maybe even for World Cup? Not every country but maybe top 8, although there might not be too much to say)
Congrats on the crazy growth almost @ 9k already
Philadelphia fusion, the rocky of the Overwatch league... they went the distance, baby!
Is that how Ardeont is supposed to be pronounced? I'm legitimately confused.
Nope. New to OW before OWL and ive been spelling Ardeont wrong the whole time in my big brain
Dividing_by_0 Ahh, alright. Great series, btw.
I love how passionate you are about your videos!
Keep it up!
Thanks for making SiRs for 3 days in a row!! And also show the Hanamura gameplay (Philly vs DF) !! ( 9:05 )
These must take forever keep up the hard work
And nice vid
Man, Neptuno is probably the ballsiest Mercy player in the league lol
I snicker everytime I hear snillo. ;) ( Refer back to an old Zero vid )
I love this series! Can't wait til next year ;)
Tbh, i thought Boston’s entire stage would make a good movie. Everyone was underrating them, because no one had ever heard of their talent, etc. yes, they didn’t get past the quarterfinals, but the entire underdog story plus the incredible stage 3 would be awesome.
THANK YOU!! YOU DID MY FAV TEAM RIGHT!!
Amazing video, watched everyone in this series so far
I think calling Neptuno average is a bit of a stretch. If I remember correctly he had very high stats later in the season despite his aggressive playstyle.
He played better than Ark after he lost his permanent Zen-Orb and flanker protection from Jjonak and this comes from someone who loves the XL.
Your ratings are very inconsistent, i really don't think philly is higher than the LA teams overall, even if they ended up in the second place. If it's about the double sniper meta, i agree. They are hands down in the top 3 teams. But the double sniper meta was only strong for them because it heavily depended on the DPS carrying every fight where Roadhog and Orisa were just there to maintain position for the rest of their team. So it was a meta that made their weak elos less important and elevated even more their strong elo, the DPS. I would give them a B.
I think at phillys best, theyre better than Gladiators. Normally I would consider them the same. Valiant outshines them a little bit due to their tank line.
I think Philly and gladiators are about as good as eachother but valiants are definitely better. They were the only team that looked liked they had a chance against London once London got good
Hotba definitely wasn't put in over Poko for his Zarya in S4. Poko was previously known as one of, if not the top Zarya in EU. Natural language synergy and Hotbas ability to flex to Hog is much more likely the reason.
Philadelphia fusion will always be my favourite team.
Finally, London. I was annoyed when you changed it to follow in the order of the playoffs. But next is the one I've been waiting for
"fragi the literal viking" i love it
I can tell youve been working on your vocals, you've changed a lot since 900 subs and for the better
Dude average ?!?! Neptuno?!?!!?
Carpe and friends
It's funny, the problems you stated at the beginning of the video are the exact same problems they still have to this day. Perhaps lessened slightly by some semblance of synergy, but they really are the most volatile team in the entire league. Capable of simultaneously taking NYXL & the Dragons to map 5 in the matter of a couple days. My guess is that they'll either become a super-team in the future, or fail to reach any comparable level of success again (besides what Carpe can hard-carry them to).
I love this team so much.
My favorite team finally nice video
Don't forget about Alarm on the academy team as well. I haven't seen any game play since I never know when what contenders teams are playing, but from what I hear, he's an absolute monster.
To be honest, I have disagree with “The supports being average” at least in my opinion, as I see Neptuno being the best Mercy in the league, and in the playoffs, his aggressive Mercy mostly went unpunished
Honestly, when if you ask me Neptuno is the best Mercy in OWL and Boombox is an above average Zen
no to boombox
Neptuno isn’t the best mercy, top 5/4 definitely. Ark, Nus, and Anamo are definitely better though. his mercy was punished heavily in the grand finals and that’s why he was borderline absent for the whole thing. Boombox’s zen is underwhelming at best and garbage at worst. during stages 3 and 4 he was known for transing when the rest of his team was dead and overall just had terrible management of his abilities. i don’t think he’s good enough for OWL. contenders definitely, he’s a bit shaky and inconsistent to be a starter.
edit: i could see him being a sub though. forgot about subs in teams. not good enough to be a starter, but he’s substitute potential.
AusDaes - Overwatch Gaming Videos Boombox too, he prefers playing aggressive (as shown recently in the OWWC) but he’s been forced to play as the anchor for the rest of his team in Fusion because of how aggressive they are collectively. Plus he’s been top 5 across most relevant Zen stats so it’s weird seeing people say he’s average or a weak link when he clearly isn’t. Only issue with Fusion is their tank line and making individual errors. Fusion supports are above the league average
Wavey Boombox has good ish stats but that can be said about aim god
"Supports are Average"
Neptuno is a god on Mercy. Have you watched him play? Top 2 best mercy.
Jᴀᴄᴋᴇʀᴄᴏ exactly! He's the best mercy aside from ark
and Poko is one of the best off tanks in the league. Horns is one of the most flexible
Nobody rates nus smh....he had insane clutches to win them fights but was sadly overshadowed by the more flashy profit, fury and birdring
Debatable. He's a great battle Mercy but that sometimes bites them in the ass. In the grand finals Spitfire punished Neptuno's play style really hard.
Official TedCruz Nowhere near it. His D.Va bombs are fantastic, but when it comes down to the actual mechanics of D.Va, Fury, MekO, Space, and Seagull outclass him. When it comes down to off-tanking in general, his Zarya is shadowed by other players.
The London Spitfire: inconsistency is Key
Loving these videos man! They really are entertaining and informative at the same time!
Love this video, not cuz it's finally Philly, but cuz it's about their story
Dude as a Fusion fan, that play off excelsior game killed time and time again! I lost my mind when they won. Also totally agree with wanting to join the fusion. I even like the same kinds of fights as them, long and drawn out. To bad I’m in plat 😂
MY SQUADDDDDDD
honestly, the uprising, fusion match was the best in all the play offs
I’ve grown to love shadowburn a lot
When your so early the video is still only available in 360p
ShadowBurn was a top 3 genji pre Overwatch league. Mental stress just got to him and he couldn’t gain his confidence back
Love your content keep up the good work!
1:28 I wouldn't call sado feeding in the grand finals "the highest note" but yeah I kind of agree
I want the London video to be called The Ups And Downs
*MAN* I wonder how good of a support JOEMESITER IS. WISH I saw him out there playing. (This also makes joe the only person in owl so far to never play a map and got to the final)
That blog said "Your" where it should've been "You're"
I was rooting for Philly all season long! Props to getting so far from South Jersey!
As a Fusion diehard I approve this video!
Came back for nostalgia after carpe retired. Almost all the OG's are gone now.. Gets me sad bros.
fav team since stage 1
you can call boombox average but it is known fact that neptuno is a top main support in the league. The amount of times he clutches for the team and saying that he is too aggro and dies a lot was only apparent in the finals grand finals.
I love these videos good work
Carpe is such a badass
The Optic House of Overwatch
So this may be controversial but in this is how I would rank the Playoff teams in terms of skill.
6: New York Excelsior
5: Los Angeles Gladiators
4: Boston Uprising
3: Philadelphia Fusion
2: Los Angeles Valiant (IK both lost to Spitfire but overall Valiant did slightly better and other OWL players predicted a Fusion v Valiant final and collectively favoured Valiant)
1: London Spitfire
you should've shown a picture of Joemeister when you said they have a professional Chef
DUDE HOW DID YOU MAKE THIS SO QUICK. THIS WAS LESS THAN 24 HOURS FROM YOUR LAST POST. MAJOR PROPS TO YOU.
dang, 100th like and no dislikes. wtf is this nontoxic OW community doing
Poko and Neptune were both gods
Woo mansion, but have u ever seen Shanghai’s base? it is future style.
I understand that you think that the tanks are average but you have to give credit to hotba because I feel like he improved alot
Jumpy Gamers he’s talking about the main tanks
This video is much better than your other vids, whutface?
who is dayfly??
Don’t forget about alarm
It makes no sense...they put Sado in for Fragi in stage 4 XD, and Finland's matches just prove that. Fragi's Rein is near insane, considered one of the best, if not the best in the world cup. Aggression was the name of the game from stage 4 on in the tank line for the most part. Really interesting move, worked out for the most part, but it could've won them the finals maybe.
8:47 The League didn't ban EQO the team did.
YAAAAAAAAAAYYY
Why in the hell was this uploaded 11 PM last night?
A- for Philly? They shocked everyone being so good. A or A+ definitely
No, A- works. They weren't that good in regular season.
When comes the sir Londen spitfire
if i'm being honest, A- is kind of too good to rate fusions season overall. id argue they're more of a B/B+ at most, cause while they did have a lot of good moments, they also had a ton of bad ones too lol
Cant really give the same score to a finalist and a 6th placed. End-results matter heavily.
Panteria it's a rating of the whole season, right? yeah, philly made the finals, but there were times when philly looked quite bad, and for the most part, they never looked amazing the entire season
Who is higher on lets say the FIFA ranking. The runner up world champion who barely made it out of groups or the team who looked awesome until they dropped out in the quarter finals? Otherwise we could just put a grade in according to season standings and be done with it.
love this series, but I don't understand how Valiant got a B+ while Fusion got an A- considering they have never actually won a championship and LA at least won a stage playoff and finished 2nd overall compared to Fusion's 6th
Armon Olaee The Valiant were the 2nd place seed in the playoffs, the Fusion came in second place in the entire season overall
but second place "seed" is also second place "overall throughout the season" meaning they had to be consistent throughout 40 games. for the Fusion (or any season playoff team) they only needed to play 2-3 games to get to somewhere high in the playoffs
Oralee .-. ^
Wouldn't spitfires be best? It had a perfect story arc, starting good, getting worse and then a large comeback at the end after losing a set 3-0 to gladiators
at the fusion hq:
Carpe: Aight guys go whatever u want doesn’t matter we’ll win
Everyone else: k
MATCH: 4-0
Carpe: k
Everyone:k
Can u talk about upcoming trades?
Carpe is clearly to good
Did u do London spitfire btw?
I am of course way late here, but only really got into OWL recently (though I played Overwatch in the past). I'm a big Flyers fan and unfortunately you are making the same mistake that a lot of people in hockey make when talking about the Flyers ownership. Comcast Spectacor is not the same as Comcast. Comcast Spectacor is a subsidiary and separate company. They operate several sports and entertainment venues and also owns the Philadelphia Flyers as well as the Philadelphia Fusion. They are owned by Comcast but have absolutely nothing to do with the telecommunications business or the overall corporate culture of Comcast.
Oooh London is next
Spitfire wholly focused only on carpe the entire grand finale and EQO still couldn't do shit
Maybe he shouldn't brag you have to be good to brag and be cocky
GIT GUD but he is good
They did pretty good considering their game plans were 80% carpe go get a 4K
I, uh, just wanted to note that this video has 7 dislikes. Seven. Let that sink in, over a 133:1 like to dislike ratio. This video has been out for three months, and it has accumulated an average of 2.33 dislikes per month. The likes per month? Over 320. Okay, now I'm done proving how mind blowing this is. Have a nice day :)
#FreeSDB
Let's face it
Eqo genji vs shadowburn genji is like haksal vs whoru
We all know who won
Christian Annoni Who won?
Nice
Carpe...everyone knows he's toxic >.> lol, his play is undeniable, but he is toxic, even on his streams sometimes. >.> "great guys to be around,"...outside of one..
Well let me put it this way, it seems like the team is split between a few groups, EQO, Poko, Boombox (who all died their hair at one point in the season all at once, purple), and Carpe, and the Korean tank duo (who did not), to me at least it shows a little non-unity, maybe it's nothing. But to me it could mean something. They are an undeniably great offensive team though, but Carpe can be quite hard to get along with is what I hear from a lot of people. But if you are on his level maybe he is more enjoyable.
What is the intro music
Philadelphia Carpe
Who do you main and what’s your sr
