Just complementing to Bruno's explanation on the difference between Brazilian vs USA clubs as I was part of both systems.
    - In Brazil, most of the volleyball clubs are located inside "country clubs". As Bruno mentioned, these institutions contain a social side where members can use the facilities for leisure and/or to practice sports. At young age, most of the players are members of this so called "country clubs". As the teams become more competitive, the clubs recruit non-members to be part of the team.
    - Training: (my personal experience) - from ages 10 - 14, we practiced about 2 hours a day, 3 times a week. Some of these days also include physical conditioning. From 15 - 18, practices were 5-6 days on the week for about 2 hours. Depending on the quality of the team/club, some players could practice with their group age and with the group age above. In my case, I practiced 4 hours a day from ages 15-18.
    - Competition/season: The seasons usually start in March and go through December. During these periods, teams play on average 3-4 competitions during the year. Each competition is usually done in two phases: first weekend as a group and the following weekend with the top 4.
    - Cost: in Brazil there is a cost component, which is significantly lower that in the USA. The cost is lower since the clubs are able to use the “country clubs” facilities, coaches and supplies. For the clubs that are not inside of a country club, there is a cost associated, which is covered by the athletes or absorbed by sponsors that assist on the cost. There is no pay cash payout to players. It would be the equivalent of a scholarship in the USA.
    - National Team: at the U-17 and U-19, we practiced 8 hours a day (morning / late afternoon sections) for a period of 2-3 months.
I hope these additional info help to better understand the Brazilian system.
    See you at Waupaca 2023.

something to point out about the ''presence'' of Bruno on the court is that this guy was forge under the pressure of one of, if not the most, dominant team in the volleyball history, those guys were beasts, just look at the names Giba, Sergio, Anderson, André Heller, André Nascimento... like cmon who can make it
