  • We're back baby, and this episode is well worth the wait. Bruno Rezende literally has volleyball running through his veins. Born into a family of Olympic Volleyball players, Bruno has been setting straight out of the womb.
We're so excited to have him join TPOE to talk all about what it was like growing up with volleyball, how to be a good teammate, how he learned to be present, meditation techniques that have helped him along the way, and all about his Brazilian pride.
We discussed the book he's writing, how Brazilian training is different, the "defensive thermometer" and how he overcame losing in the Olympics by learning to forgive himself.
This is a really special one, so don't miss it!

Man such a passionate loveable guy. When I started Volleyball 2 years ago, he has been the eye catcher from what I saw on CZcams. And not even the sets and highlights, of course they were great, but what really made him stick out for me was his energy, his mimic and gestic. You saw the passion almost like an aura leaving his body after every play. So Bruno if you see this, good luck in Modena and I am sure many young talents in the future will win trophies because your passion lid fires in them. So you will have your trophies, your mothers trophy with you in the womb as well as many other future trophies of people you inspired! Greetings from Germany

We're lucky to have this kind of space to hear and learn from the best players around the world. Bruno has been a guide for me as a beginner setter

Bruno! One of my favorites in volleyball! He's the first player who really got my attention when I got interested on the Brazil team.

When he is in your Team, his energy, ambition is something what push you to win, but when he is in oponent Team you look at him and know that he never give up to last ball. That makes him incredible player, one of the best in history.

They need to be able to communicate in english. But, yeah, it'd be amazing to keep seeing these type of players talking about great and valuable volleyball stuff! As a volleyball player and as a coach (specially), I've learned so much thanks to this podcast.

O man Bruno. He is really the guy who got me in to volleyball. The things he dose with Lucas the back ones and stuff is really what got me into the sport. He is really the person who showed me what is was to be a setter.
