Sorry that y’all ran into so much rain while you were there. I kept thinking it’s a good thing that you like food because there were plenty of really nice little places to pick up some yummy goodness while it was raining outside. It was a lot busier than it was in January when you and Zara went. It was so nice of you to take your uncle out to a Michelin star restaurant for his birthday! What a wonderful trip. Such a shame about the weather, but you went prepared with your new waterproof!! Last time I was in Bologna was 6 years ago, Venice too, so you have ignited a desire to go back soon.

I love that you get out and about and take us all along Luke! Loved travelling abroad but it became too much, all that airport waiting and 5he same when reaching the destinations. I got too old, health issues. But hey, I go along with you and uwan now! Perfect! 👍👍👍👍💗💗

So lovely to see you enjoying time with your aunt and uncle. It's lovely you get along so well and enjoy traveling together. It looked like you had such a great time despite the rain. I've only been to Rome for our 20th wedding anniversary, visiting Sorrento later this year for our 25th anniversary and hopefully Venice next year for our 50th birthday treat.

You truly captured Bologna and what it has to offer to a visitor. I’ve lived nearby for many years and never ever get tired of soaking up the incredible vibe and naturally the excellent cafés and restaurants as well as the architecture and history 😊

The best part of this vlog 4 me is when u randomly passed a lemon tree on the way 2 a restaurant like it was normal 4 Italy, my parents threw a apple core in a field where I live from our allotment and apon gazing at the bloom's from it it's now an apple tree which was never before yrs ago so hopefully establish into an organic orchard in yrs 2 come ❤😊❤
Great video! Looking forward to going to Bologna in May. I chuckled when I saw the date of this video May 15, 2023. I was on Hvar Island, Croatia at that time, 4 days of the exact same weather. 😅. But I made the most of it, as you did. 👍

I do appreciate your videos this was lovely. Heading to London with my daughter this weekend to have a tour of the globe theatre and themed afternoon tea. She said any where else you want to go to mum? Not sure what she thought when I said we could walk to Borough market from there. She looked a bit surprised . Hi Luke, down to this vlog I’m on my second trip to Bologna on Saturday. What a food lovers paradise!! Love the city. Thankyou so much for introducing me to it.
We were in Bologna and Venice right after you! When you had sun to climb the Asinelli Tower, I was so jealous! It was drizzling rain for us, with fog covering the hills surrounding the city. We climbed after a food & wine tour, so I felt your "pain" in climbing after your wine drinking! LOL Next time you are in Bologna try Sfoglia Rina! It is a delicious spot for lunch, and worth standing in line! If you ever go back to Venice, go across to San Giorgio and go up in their tower - it is a magical view back at St. Mark's and easy to get in with no crowd. Loved Suso so much! Just found your channel as I am planning a trip to York, but then saw your Italy vlog and subscribed.
I've so many memories of Venice we went in tourist season it was packed, so we jumped on a gondola amazing how quiet it is in the back street's , thank you for the trip your auntie and uncle look lovely Cheers ☺

There isn’t a real view of the city from there so you didn’t miss much.

Luke I have to thankyou for taking us along, that is 2 places I wanted to go to but funds will never allow. But thanx to you I feel like I have been now. Your apartment is lovely. The food looks yummy. I have a very small part of italian in me. My Grans mother was italian. Sadly i dont have the colour skin but i have the beauty spot and the temper lol, my gran used to point those 2 things out. Lol Xx

Oh it’s such an amazing walk to the basilica and then it was clouded. I hope you can return some other time. Bologna is also one of my favourite Italian cities. And by the way, I always bring cheese home from Italy - also for gifts for friends and families 🤩

Fab vlog in Italy you should move there you are so at home there, it's my favourite country and I would love to return to Venice where I visited with my son. Bologna looks lovely, we did Florence and Rome. Nice to have great family memories. At least you balanced all the great food and drink with a lot of walking, the viewpoints were wonderful. I was worried you were going to need a boat but your lovely new raincoat sufficed, sorry for the flooded region though, you were lucky not to get the worst of it.

Bologna looked so beautiful and what a feast for our eyes all the food was. The air bnb looked incredible!
My brother and his wife went to Florence the same time as you. Their flight was postponed to the next day because of the floods. They had booked to go on a train to Venice and were unable to go as the train station was under so much water. As disappointing as it was for them of course it was nothing compared to the devastation that people who lost their homes or had to be evacuated.
