Come on man, you just sad that you could have 4 layers but you build 20. The solution to make it more efficient is clearly making the cactus not be destroyed by falling in cactus, not just stacking them. But good video anyway

You are 100% right, adding a new water layer, and or spacing out the cactus more will lower or prevent the destroying of cactus, but you would still need about 13-14 layers to get 2000 xp per hour.
but then you also need to build a bunch of water collectons and i feel the loss is better then all the extra space taken doing that.
but i should of actually tested the 2 different ways to see whats more expensive/time consuming to make

That's alotta cactus, it would take way longer to make the cactus farm and in the same time ud be able to make the skelly farm super dooper quick and get alot more xp. I get that the cactus is passive and always running... But you still have to fill the furnaces with fuel, so not completely automated, unless you have an idea for that aswell

360 skeletons is the limit for a skeleton spawner so the cactus farm will beat it if you keep adding to it.
as for the fuel problem that can be automated, ill have to show how to do that.

me and my friend made 4 quadrants with about 11 layers each so around 44 layers of cactus. we built that in about 3-4 hours total. once it was done wee filled up 2 double chests in around 2 hours and set up a smelter and its been wonderful. cactus is 100% better for long term imo
