I've always wished our country would require 2 yrs of military (or at least boot camp) like other countries, but nooo...all we got is required (useless) 2yrs of foreign language in highschool. What teenager is gonna retain that info at that age. I can't even remember shit I learned in French class 20yrs ago. I just remember some of the words cuz I happen to be viet & many of our words are basically French words.......with a heavy viet accent 🥴
