No need to apologise! We love seeing what you find, no matter what it is. There's bound to be times when the finds hide themselves too well lol. Living with that kind of heat every day for months I know just how hard detecting must be, so thanks for taking us with you anyway!

Great location and great weather mate. Generally the most historic places to detect are also the quietest as they will have been heavily detected already

Thanks a lot mate, annoying how that works but I suppose it makes the special fields even that more special!

All good Paddy. Can’t be hammereds and axe heads every day. It is just honest detecting and there is nothing wrong with that. At least you don’t plant stuff. Well done mate. Our last week of work. See you both soon 🦘🦘😁👍

Great video dude! I started metal detecting found some old coins, in my opinion coolest thing is found are 2 shillings I believe it's a silver shilling I might be wrong, a crown coin, cool Chinese trade coin from 4th AD - 16 Century ( but it might be the new lucky Chinese coin) and 3 penny, old 0.5 penny and new 0.5 penny.
Been digging on maybe 5 sessions.
I found few of these "Mill coin" you found at the start, none in as good of a condition as yours but why do you call it a mill coin? I thought it was George the 5th.
Anyways dude keep up the videos your doing great! Wish I could have a go on a field just need a permission

Hey David, thanks for the support. I call them “milled” coins because that’s how they were produced, with a milling machine like today’s coins are. Hammered coins are the coins produced mainly before the mid 17th century and were made by hammering a blank disk of metal with a design. Thanks a lot for subscribing!
