Also to note if you don't want to use your main wyze account due to openly using password, you can setup a new wyze account then share the cameras you want to use this docker container with the new account. Thus if something does happen your main account isn't breached.

So it’s working awesome! And it works flawlessly with my outdoor cams. Except it seems to be draining the battery fast. I have them all hooked up to the solar panels and they never dip below 90%, but after about 5 hours all three are below 50.
I’m thinking it’s because I have them hooked up to blueiris and set to record continuously. Maybe I should just enable record on trigger…
Did you test how long outdoor cams last with this setup?

    • @LonSeidman

2 things I found with this process-
    1. On my Synology DS220+ running DSM 7.2-64570 Update 3, Docker is called Container Manager. Simpy a verbiage issue?
    2. I've got my Wyze pan-cam working, but it only records events if I'm logged into the NAS with Monitor Center open. The rest of the time, it does not record the video to my NAS. The events are visible on my phone via the Wyze app.

Where do I get the two factor code from? I setup the docker and can see my cameras when I turn off 2 factor. But when I turn it back on I get the code wyze texts me and put it in the docker config but it won’t work.

Docker can be a bit of a learning curve but I think it's worth learning. After learning the Docker basics I highly recommend this video on Docker networking. I have not seen a better explanation anywhere. I go back to this video for reference occasionally. I guess he's called Network Chuck for a reason.

Hey Lon-- I have a miniPC running Windows 11 Pro and set up Home Assistant running on VMWare Player (more efficient that running in Hyper V). There's a method running "Docker Wyze Bridge" within Home Assistant/no longer need a separate Docker installation, reference czcams.com/video/YZVJ1yvdobE/video.html , CZcams channel The Smart House, from last year, in case link isn't supported in comments. It runs good/efficient, but I thought it might work as possibly an interesting project for you on a miniPC since you could have an all-in-one system and delete the synology aspect, since many of the miniPCs have extra NVME SSD slot or SATA slot. Always enjoy your channel and reviews. Coming to you from Starlink connection somewhere in Baja California.

Ugh I need help. Im not very familiar with this. But I saw someone's video the other day about this camera and I decided to buy one. Only issue I misunderstood and thought that It had an ethernet port and that I would be able to hookup to my NVR. So basically, since I'm not able to do that. I was wondering if there is a way I can get RTSP on it so I can send video to my NVR? I see videos about setting up RTSP on the v2 and the other v3 cam. But haven't found anything for this cam.
