BabbleTop Yeah I live in Western New York I was actually surprised to see a video like this Tim Hortons is definitely not struggling. There’s a Tim Hortons at least one every 10 Street
This video makes me feel like I live in Canada. We have almost no Starbucks, or Dunkin, and there are so many Tim Hortons locations, I can actually stand in the parking lot of one, and see another! Buffalo NY is 100% Tim Hortons country.
Here's why my local T.H. falls short, terrible customer service, lack of cleanliness, noncompetitive pricing. I honestly don't know how the place is still open. There's hardly ever anybody there, and they can't keep employees to save their lives.
I'm Canadian and I don't drink Tim Horton's coffee or go to it. I use to be a huge Timmy's drinker UNTIL they changed the coffee roast/blend. Once it started tasting burnt all the time I stopped going. I've been in a few times over the past 2 decades and have tried the new items, but they just can't leave good things alone. When something new comes out at Timmy's if it's something that turns out to be really good and a big seller they either discontinue making it OR make it cheaper and that ends up ruining it. Recently they made a crispy chicken sandwich...it was good and made with actual meat, now it's that pressed together formed fake meat stuff...only thing I would ever buy there is the soup preferably potato and bacon, a sausage and cheese on a homestyle biscuit or an oatmeal raisin cookie. Definitely not the coffee or a donut or tim bit.
They are struggling in Canada also. The are holding strong at #67 in reputation rankings. They were always floating around the top 10. Fun fact of the day! 😂
There was a Tim Horton's in Nashville, but I guess it's gone now. Our Krispy Kreme closed up shop without warning. None of the employees were told that the store was closing so those who showed up to work in the morning were greeted with locked doors and a rep to tell them to go home. Our mayor went to KK's to confirm, and he was NOT happy that a business left without notice.
They really should try Florida again.. There are a lot of Canadians down there especially in the winter and that could keep them afloat while they find a market from the Americans
I live in Florida. I’m not Canadian, Im American, but wouldn’t mind having Tim Hortons here. My family is from Buffalo and moved to Tampa before I was born, so of course I’ve had Tim Hortons before. And I’ve also had Dunkin, Krispy Kreme and all the others. But if the company WERE to try Florida again, they would need to target the right cities. Seems like the first time they tried they didn’t target a very populated area. It sounded like it was a place where a lot of people go to retire. They need to target big booming business areas in Florida such as Tampa, Orlando and Miami. They might be more successful with this tactic.
Tim hortons. Clean house and bring in new young forward thinking people. Remodel the instore counter layout and create a menu that works for customers. Go back to fresh product and more varieties. Cakes, pies, fancies, donuts. Bring back the counter and stools. Etc....
Tim Hortons has struggled in Canada since it was bought by Burger King. The coffee quality is down, they are always out of something. They started closing at night, not even open 24 hours anymore. We all knew it was over when they started serving burgers.
Just take a drive to Buffalo/Niagara Falls Western New York if you wanna see Tim Hortons thriving! Additionally, got the surprise of a lifetime when I was in the Philippines and saw a Tim Hortons...skuuuuuurrtt we eating there! Lol
they are not even a donut shop anymore, they stopped making donuts years ago , they now sell donuts made in factories and the selection is very limited

They now have FULL meals - including breakfast, lunch and supper options. They have over 15 drink choices, and some locations have 20+ donut types.
When I went to Toronto. I tried Tim hortons doughnuts and loved them. They were the best doughnuts I ever had . I'm a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs who is from the United states.
both of ours failed in liberty and girard, ohio in less than a year. the only thing they had going was a kind word. although it is noticeable we don't go to a coffee shop to buy kindness.
I just recently started drinking Tim Horton's coffee via K-Cups and I'm HOOKED. There's no struggling here with me lol. Im going through my cups too fast lol.
@@BabbleTop Yes. Yes I did.😎 Tim Horton's is now my new favorite coffee brand. I was shocked when I stumbled upon the K-Cups online through Target and Amazon since I thought you could only find that coffee in Upstate New York or in Canada. And I remembered so many videos of Canadians talking about Tim Hortons being amazing coffee so I decided to buy a small box of the K-Cups and now I'm buying the biggest box I can find.
Even here in Canada it keeps getting worse and worse. The coffee is fine but the food options are awful aside from basic things like bagels and muffins. The saddest part is the breakfasts, the eggs are received as precooked patties and heated up.. McDonalds over Tim's anyday, McDonalds has a bad reputation but I've always gotten good service and good food for the price.
We don’t bitch about Dunkin Donuts because they are from the US and we also don’t bitch about Steak ‘N Shake, Golden Corral or Checkers because we don’t have them here in Canada either. Relax about Tim Hortons not doing well in the US. We don’t really care 🤷🏼♀️ 🇨🇦IT’S CANADIAN EH!🇨🇦 (ps Timmy’s has an expanded menu...have you been there?)
Tim Horton’s had started to establish a presence here in Ohio by being the only store offering a 24 hour full menu. They were slowly gaining some traction via that model, but I guess growth wasn’t fast enough to suit corporate. For some unknown reason, they abruptly terminated 24 hour operations and began 8 AM - 8 PM scheduling. They ceded all of their overnight business to McDonald’s, and Speedway service stations (which massively refreshed and expanded food operations, through their Speedy Cafe rebrand) That business is never coming back to Tim Horton, and many local stores closed as a result.
Michael Lambert Really? Athletes always seem to find their way into restaurant businesses. I know Michael Jordan owns a number of restaurants, but at least I know where to get a good cup of coffee now
I get my coffee at a local coffee shop, never patronize major conglomerate corporate chain(If It Can Be Helped)And would support an American Company first.
In Business, differentiation is KEY. Consumer will ask why go to TH? Is it the best tasting coffee? Is it the cheapest cost for coffee? Is it selling good food items? Is the service model great? Is it perfecting local favorite foods and offering these regionally? The business model is just not hitting any specific target focus in the US. i think they should take a smart risk to do vegan baked goods as well experiment with Impossible plant protein breakfast options. if it can excel in these areas, it can establish an identity n premium branding among healthy lifestyle market.
Sorry but you guys are way off the point here! I live in lower Michigan and there's hardly any Starbucks you have to travel over a half an hour from my house to find one and they are super expensive, but Tim Hortons are in almost every single small town, their prices are very reasonable their price is about the same price as a McDonald's coffee, and where McDonald's coffee tastes like nasty rotten grounds, there's is smooth and chocolatey and good! Also their donuts are absolutely to die for! And on top of it all most locations are now adding the ice cream shops inside of them so I don't have to travel and find that anymore either! I wouldn't pay you $0.02 for Starbucks Coffee but Tim Hortons is wonderful! Sounds to me like you guys got paid by Starbucks to make this video!
As a Canadian, I have no words that can express my disgust for this chain properly. It's just frozen, tasteless over-priced crap with zero variety. The only reason it's so successful is that it's essentially like the mob, exploiting people's dependence on caffeine. Seriously, these things grow like bad weeds, popping up at every street corner and even invading local gas stations. As if that's not enough, they kill any chance for competition/variety. Anything else that tries to open, will shut down in a matter of months because scrubs are already at Tims and figure they might as well eat there too. Trust me, Americans are not missing out...
TH needs to learn that their employees are not disposable machines. They also expect cashiers to prepare food and coordinate tasks. During hgh volumes periods Ive often been given my order for free becayuse the cashier is overwhelmed.
I live in Western NY - Tim's is on almost every corner - with ridiculous lines! I love Tim Horton's - but it's a traffic hazard here! Ontario and Buffalo are pretty much the same. If you love plain old coffee-flavored coffee - Tim Horton's is fantastic.
I liked this video but you messed up in one key part. The first Tim Hortons was in North Bay, Ontario and it was a burger place that eventually went under which in then rebranded his name into a coffee shop.
I don’t know where you all live, but in NY tim hortons is thriving. They put ever Dunkin’ Donuts out of business and are constantly opining new locations.
correction: We used to love Tim Hortons! Burger king bought them out a few years ago and its gone down ever since. Don't waste your money its not even close to what it was.
Honestly in my opinion Tim Hortons needs to learn that not every single food item can be made in a oven and still taste good. Like the chicken, bacon, sausages, soups, chilli, etc is made in the oven.
Jfyi, we are very much turning to Starbucks and second cup these days. So maybe fact check that a bit better, all of Canada is in Toronto or Vancouver you realize.
its cheaper than starbucks and is better then dunkin donuts. its a canadian thing and doesnt need to be popular in the us it is nice to get a cookie and frozen pink lemonade from there when in the us though, even if it is rarely
I watch a CZcams channel from Canada its called Vancity Van life he gets Coffee and donuts there often... otherwise I would have never heard of the place.. I just thought it was only in Canada...
I find that Canada does American food better then America personally when I'm in Ontario Timmies does snap when it comes to Coffee but the food not so much
Well...if you talk as clearly as you write, they probably didn't understand a fucking word you said. Learn how to use punctuation, and spell correctly and you might be taken seriously.
I don’t know what it’s like in other U.S. parts but in Western Ny (Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Etc.) Tim Hortons is the most popular donut/coffee place It’s so popular that it ran 2 other businesses (KrispyKreme and Dunkin Donuts which actually has one left around an hour from Buffalo but oh well) out of town so yeah Western Ny Tim Hortons aren’t going anywhere
They’re doing just fine in Columbus, Ohio. They’ve been here for a while and are pretty well known in the city. We have a beloved hockey team (Columbus Blue Jackets) so that helps.
@Rahimi Musa Muhd Zakaria Yes, you are correct! Tim Hortons, a popular Canadian coffee and donut chain, has expanded internationally, including in China. Tim Hortons has opened several locations in China, offering their signature coffee, donuts, and other menu items to Chinese customers.😊
Is anyone else thinking that Tim Horton's being Canadian may be a problem in itself as Canadians might be just too nice and polite to compete with aggressive greedy authoritarian minded Americans?
I think it's very polite of you that you didn't mention they're failing down yonder because they aren't very good. Don't tell the other Canadians though. They'll find me and kill me for speaking out about their great American for a decade plus Tim Hortons they still think is Canadian. It's as Canadian as basketball. Invented here. Story over. Other reasons are valid too I guess.
@@BabbleTop Corporate mishandling. It's easily the biggest downfall. There's a lot of great American chains that have failed for no other reason than corporate level mishandling. That could be a series of videos right there! Or do whatever you want to do. Not here to tell you how to live.
This video makes Starbucks appear to be the American equivalent of Tim Horton's in Canada, but I don't think that's an accurate comparison. Perhaps there is no exact equivalent, but I think Dunkin Donuts is alot closer. Besides, they have Starbucks in Canada and plenty of them - ALOT more stores than Tim's has in the States - so Canadians usually have the option. But Starbucks really doesn't do donuts. And while they do have a few cold sandwiches, they're made somewhere else by another company. However, I must say the Protein Box I had the other day was very good, but for $8.00 it's more of a prize when you've saved up enough rewards points than a regular lunch item. On the flip side, I don't think Tim Horton's has the image of being a traditional coffee bar with baristas like Starbucks. They do lattes and such, but it's just not the same. Sadly, Dunkins closed alot of their stores on the West Coast some years ago, so there really isn't a nation-wide donut chain like Tim's in the U.S. like there used to be. But for donuts & coffee, I think Dunkins is the best match.
@@BabbleTop You're welcome! Hard to say because it had alot of interesting parts, but one thing I do find particularly interesting about Tim Hortons is their attention to making sure the coffee is 20-minutes fresh. This is a nice attention to detail and a concept that is pretty foreign to most American companies. I literally have to ask at most places if the coffee is fresh or I may get a pretty nasty cup of something made hours ago.
Maybe it has to do with their tasteless food. Sure most is baked fresh, its still Fresh bland tasteless food with terrible coffee. Absolutely horrible food. Never again have we stopped at another Tim Hortons.
Tim Hortons food is like manufactured rubber crap! Coffee and a doughnut is the only thing I would ever buy there. And tbh the coffee is not that great anyway.

☕ Thanks for your feedback Lori Brid! 😄 What was your favorite part of the video!?!?
Tim Hortons is almost inedible after the RBI buyout years ago. Go to a independent coffee shop or donut place.
Don’t feel Too Bad !!!,
You’ll never see me at a Starbucks either 👎👎🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Where do you get coffee then!?!? lol
BabbleTop at honey Dew !!!
Jfyi, we are very much turning to Starbucks and second cup these days. So maybe fact check that a bit better, all of Canada is in Toronto or Vancouver you realize.
Thank you for letting us know 😊
Merged with Burger King. What could go wrong there?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
How come the US gets tim hortons but we don't get Dunkin donuts?
its cheaper than starbucks and is better then dunkin donuts.
its a canadian thing and doesnt need to be popular in the us
it is nice to get a cookie and frozen pink lemonade from there when in the us though, even if it is rarely
I didn't even know what Tim Hortons was before this video.
(I'm in the u.s.)
learn something new every day!
lolololololololololol_you_actually_read_that_you_ Tim Horton’s is mostly a Midwest tjing
@@michaelshields7777 I live in the midwest
I watch a CZcams channel from Canada its called Vancity Van life he gets Coffee and donuts there often... otherwise I would have never heard of the place.. I just thought it was only in Canada...
I’m Canadian so I personally love Tim Hortons
Cool! 😉 Did you like the video PxperCuts ?

Cool! And what was your favorite entry!?!? 🤗
I 2 am Canadian and think that Tim's is not good coffee and it's price is to high.
I went there the clerk wanted too charge a dollar too slice a bagel I order 24 off them I complained general office didt know what I was talking about
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

@@BabbleTop the bagels were for meeting at work
Well...if you talk as clearly as you write, they probably didn't understand a fucking word you said. Learn how to use punctuation, and spell correctly and you might be taken seriously.
@@briankoops5171 - 😂🤭. But seriously, I'm surprised they'd charge for that. 😮
tim hortons lasted for only a few months in st. cloud, mn... it was ok, but caribou and dunkin donuts are way better with way better flavor.
Tim Horton successful in Canada,China, Pakistan and Middle East
I don’t know what it’s like in other U.S. parts but in Western Ny (Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Etc.) Tim Hortons is the most popular donut/coffee place
It’s so popular that it ran 2 other businesses (KrispyKreme and Dunkin Donuts which actually has one left around an hour from Buffalo but oh well) out of town so yeah Western Ny Tim Hortons aren’t going anywhere

I am a Canadian and I love the Tim Horton's Ice caps
I enjoy the breakfast options, not really my thing for lunch unless its cold out and im looking for hot soup
They’re doing just fine in Columbus, Ohio. They’ve been here for a while and are pretty well known in the city. We have a beloved hockey team (Columbus Blue Jackets) so that helps.
China have Tim Hortons
Japan and Taiwan have Starbucks
@Rahimi Musa Muhd Zakaria Yes, you are correct! Tim Hortons, a popular Canadian coffee and donut chain, has expanded internationally, including in China. Tim Hortons has opened several locations in China, offering their signature coffee, donuts, and other menu items to Chinese customers.😊
Very great tasting meals, pastries etc! Not sure why the US is missing out on these great price points?
The Tim Hortons on Grand Haven Michigan is pretty good
Cool! Do you usually eat there?
@@BabbleTop once in a while
Just so you know Tim's has been bought out by burger king FYI - So its American, not Canadian
Is anyone else thinking that Tim Horton's being Canadian may be a problem in itself as Canadians might be just too nice and polite to compete with aggressive greedy authoritarian minded Americans?
Tom Horton's hash browns were goat
Comparing to other coffee places in my location in Canada, it's just affordable and decent.
Where do you usually take your coffee?
few and far between, but very good.

I have atleast 10 Timmy's in my town lol
I think it's very polite of you that you didn't mention they're failing down yonder because they aren't very good. Don't tell the other Canadians though. They'll find me and kill me for speaking out about their great American for a decade plus Tim Hortons they still think is Canadian. It's as Canadian as basketball. Invented here. Story over. Other reasons are valid too I guess.
Cool! And what was your favorite entry!?!? 🤗
@@BabbleTop Corporate mishandling. It's easily the biggest downfall. There's a lot of great American chains that have failed for no other reason than corporate level mishandling. That could be a series of videos right there! Or do whatever you want to do. Not here to tell you how to live.
It sucks. Therefore it struggles. No other reason needed.

Whoever likes it go to Canada
Or Michigan
ok

Are Tim hortons is good in Owosso mi
Cool! And what was your favorite entry!?!? 🤗
Owned by Americans now. Huge identity crisis. Terribly weird shit in menu lately.
Maybe it has to do with their tasteless food. Sure most is baked fresh, its still Fresh bland tasteless food with terrible coffee. Absolutely horrible food. Never again have we stopped at another Tim Hortons.
yum
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I could go for a Timmys triple triple now
go for it
Tim Hortons food is like manufactured rubber crap! Coffee and a doughnut is the only thing I would ever buy there. And tbh the coffee is not that great anyway.
Timmies should’ve just stayed out of merica. And not have been bought by Burger King. Stay Canadian, stay in Canada.
This is true.
