When you were talking about how you think others may see you when you were at home decorating, it was really interesting, as I just thought you were at home decorating, which you did say people might think too, but I was also thinking that decorating is way harder than any other work you can do, so I wasn't thinking you were lazy or not doing well at work, I was actually thinking the opposite, in that you work so hard. Which is inspiring. In fact half way though, I stopped the video and tidied and sorted our house and then, as a reward, I watched the rest of the vid Xx

Love your idea of maintaining your home. When I was a cleaner, I would deep clean customers homes every six weeks, the customer would keep on top of the weekly chores. I’d go in and do each room, top to bottom: cleaning windows, skirting boards, door frames etc.
When the customer would move, everything was easier for them, as the house was kept on top of.
I’m trying to do this in my home, it’s a good idea - I just need to apply it! 😂

My partner and I do a monthly turn down! We do one room each month and it gets a super deep clean, touch up, redecoration, etc. It feels amazing!
Live your life Helen! Live to the beat of your own drum and fuck societal norms and pressures to do things in a certain way. You truly are a creative, and you should never feel guilty for living your life the way your hard work has allowed you to. 🎉

Love this video Helen! Firstly, yes to josh and Matt decor, I see them on tiktok and they’re style and their relationship is the best! Secondly, I have watched you since the days when you worked in a shoe shop and then the shoe office doing basically PR for them and back in the purple haired melon days and I still love your content and you views on life and people as much now as I did then! You have shown so much growth as a person but you’re still consistently Helen and I love you for that! I really hope you know you’re a lovely person who matters! Hope you have a tidy home and a tidy mind now you’re more on top of things! X

I think that your happiness and hobbies do contribute to work! I’ve been watching the home reno so closely I am back to watching every vlog you put out, as soon as I see it! I’ve been watching you since 2013, and admittedly I had stopped watching regularly for a couple years. I would say that if it’s increasing visibility from your audience it’s a part of your job!

Think about it this way Helen, if you had a job with an employer....and an office....and a pension plan etc. you'd be entitled to 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays - all you are doing when you are taking time off work is taking your holiday entitlement! Love the green!!

As a Lion King soundtrack fan, I really recommend watching Remastered: The Lion's Share documentary if you haven't already! It's about a journalist who tracks down the family of Solomon Linda, the writer of the The Lion Sleeps Tonight and tries to help them fight for a fair share of the royalties. It's fascinating but tragic all in one!

Those Jean's look so good, Levi's are just something else, I only wear Levi Jean's cus you can select the waist size and length so it's more customizable for me which I've always struggled with store jeans 😂😂 always between sizes, use to be smack in the middle 8 and 10, now more 10 to 12 😂 I also prefer looser on the waist now whereas I use to feel everything needed fit perfect then I sit down and I'm in pain cus they fit perfect standing but then stabbing me under into my ribs cus I have sticky out ribs 😂 but I live in Levi's, I love then so much 😂😂
