Thanks for the effort put into this clip. I own an AMG GTS, so while not quite the GTR, the looks of the AMG GT's overall is classic. This is not to say I don't love the Lambo. I do!
I'm currently saving for the AMG GTC. Another 12 months and it will be mine(market willing.) I also love the look of the Emira but do know it's not in the same ballpark.

Both amazing cars and great performance by both drivers. I've always had a soft spot for the GT-R and seeing this video only emphasizes that for me. Don't get me wrong, the Lamborghini is a sexy car and real good looking. But the sound, the nose and overall look of the AMG... There's nothing quite like it. @@thomasferrarojr.9772 You may be right, I have never had the chance to hear a Huracan live as there are none around where I live. But I have heard the GTR and it's hard to beat. From the videos, it comes out with a lower register which I think is what I prefer but then again, both these cars sound waaaaaaaaay better than my daily drivers. Unless I'm watching the video in the car, obviously.

I've always found that car to be one the sexiest in the world. Can't say I have heard one live either, the closest dealer to my place is about 1000km (600 miles). Seems like the new facelifted AMG GTC and GTRs are tough to beat. I remember when the old E60 M5s and M6s used to walk the Gallardo up top despite the numbers not making sense. German definitely got their shit together in the high speed game. M5Board throwback right there.

VAG owns lamborghini but that doesn't mean they're made in germany. Some Volkswagen GTI are assembled in Mexico that doesn't make it mexican does it?
Yes, Volkswagen owns Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ducati, Bentley, Audi, Porsche, and some other Brands in Europe... The Lambo is basically an Audi R8 V10 with another Dress... ✌🏻

Evenly match but cars are not stock configuration. The Huracan has a wing that at here speeds do nothing more than create drag in a roll race so, not really sure I can draw much more from this. Love the videos. Keep them coming.
I think BOTB did something like this also. Same results. I can’t recall if there was a wing to add drag
That wing has almost a negative attack angle. It isn’t creating hardly any downforce at speed compared to the wings on a gt3 rs , zr1 , acr viper etc
I've driven a Lamborghini Huracan 610-4 and 570 LP version and me being 6'2 its too tight a fit for me in both of them so id take AMG GTR. Would be interesting to see C7 Z06 A8 vs AMG GTR
Im 6'4 and struggled with the R8, ive never sat in a Lambo. What part about it is tight? Legs? Head?
@@graygamingps4503 I have long legs and its right up on the dash. Hard to even turn the steering wheel. Lambo Huracan too small for me. I drove and raced the Lamborghini Huracan 610-4 for 3 laps through Xtreme Xperience and also drove Huracan 570 LP for day around in L.A. Now the Ferrari 488 GTB i drove was tight but i could fit and drive comfortably
@@charlesfrison7135 I would have the same problem then, I'm a 'leggy' tall. Have you ever drove any Astons? Porsche? McLarens? I was fine in a DB11 but I wasn't in a 458, I'm was hurting after 20 minutes behind the wheel

Performante would get smoked. Its barely faster than a regular huracan. That AMG black series has another 125hp on top of this

I think I’d choose the Huracan based off history, aesthetic, sound, and everything that comes with owning a Lamborghini.
The Mercedes Benz is a beast and super luxurious and more practical, but if you’re gonna spend supercar money, might as well go with a Lamborghini

Good races but Not to be picky but a better compare would be a GT-R vs Performante or Huracan vs GT and Im sure the Lambo would edge out in both scenarios I also think Mercedes is being PESSIMISTIC with their horsepower ratings because 577 should not be beating 602!

Might be alone on this one, but I think your auto Z06 would've walked the AMG GT-R. It pulled away much harder on the Huracan in that one shot. But the Merc is sexy af tho.

Ed J I understand the GT-R will pull hard on high end at 130+ but the A8 is geared more aggressively in the lower gears. It may make the difference that would get it to the 1/2 mile finish first. Maybe not higher speed but faster time.

Not in the majority here but not a fan of manufacturers underrating specs no way the Benz is making 577 HP, way more!
It's also a possibility that they're at a little higher of an elevation. Elevation has a greater effect on NA cars than it does turbocharged cars.

I'm wondering why he measures in those metrics, instead of the more usual ones, 0-60, quarter of a mile and so on, I think that's what people are more used to and more interested in knowing VS the 40 to 100 or whatever
60-130 is a common as well, much better for tuning and real machine comparison because by 60 driver ability and traction are way less of factors than from launch.

weird that the lamborghini huracan lp610-4 has done 0-200 in 9.1 seconds in many runs before yet here it does 100-200 in 8 seconds... somethings wrong, maybe it’s the wing?

All good man. Just glad you finally got around to watching the vid. So run 3 was interesting. Huracan was left in auto mode. And as you know, there is sort of a lag when you roll race in auto. So the AMG GTR pulled ahead. But he was in manual mode and hit the limiter which is why it kind of slowed down. Since both sides had little hiccups, I think it ended up being a fair run.

Ed J but this was the point of all these videos was to find the fastest. Plus gt500 don’t cost near as much as what this series put together. You have a 760hp DCT compared to a Porsche pdk car that can tie a Porsche gt3rs around a track and kill a lot on the track 7.6 60-130 is on a regular road with a base one not even the carbon fiber track pack. When you are trying to compare a win then a win is a win why not throw the cheaper faster car in the series?!?
Car Culture Nation trust me. Buyers of a huracan and AMG GTR will be cross shopping those cars. Not a GT500. A cool race with that would be the redeye challenger and the C7 ZR1. It doesn’t belong in this class even if it is faster in the straights than both of them

If that .2 ain’t good enough take just 10k from the extra Money you spend on the Amg and your sitting in the 9s in the 1/4mile and 950hp at the wheels with a simple tune supercharger pulley etc and you are still blowing it away even more. For a fraction of the price. Or just take a new 50k mustang GT and spend 30k and you have 60-130 in the low 5s. My point is if you are looking for times look at the huracan. It’s a beautiful car that people when they see it is the most bad ass thing they seen. It runs 8s 60-130 then you look at the AMG it’s not near as exotic and like the gt500 people just think it’s another Mercedes. I’ve seen stock gt500 do 60-130 around 7.2 over and over. The point is all these great cars out and the AMG and the gt500 get looked at like it’s not special and they are. That’s what makes me live Shmee150 in youtube he has fords and AMGs has the new ford gt and a new gt500 on the way. But also has a bunch of Mercedes and the new Amg on its way and the old. I would trust him and others on there time over a channel that only shows what they can get there hands on
