- Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Navy (IN) have decided to incorporate the indigenous ‘Tapas’ drones into their fleets. The Air Force plans to request ten Tapas drones from the Ministry of Defence, with six allocated to the Air Force and four to the Navy. On the other hand, Mazagon Dockyard Limited (MDL) is said to be in advanced discussions with the Defence Ministry for a potential Rs 35,000-crore deal on acquiring additional Kalvari-class (Scorpene) submarines for the Indian Navy. Dear Gaurav Arya Ji, I have a small story to tell. In the 50s a Japanese student was studying in Oxford.His bench mate was British.The Japanese was taking notes with a Japanese pencil, whose lead was breaking repeatedly and he was resharpening pencil repeatedly. Britisher offered his spare pencil but the Japanese refused. When the Britisher questioned why after the class, the Japanese answered "if I don't support my country now,then how will we improve?" Today, the Japanese make the best quality of everything.

1. If war starts then we don't have to depend on other nations for additional supply. In such cases western countries can't be trusted for timely supply.
2. We can produce as much as possible and can stay un war for years, without compromising anything.
3. India will gain expertise and un future India can export it which will be helpful in economics.
4. Having strong and leathel weapons will provide India an edge in geopolitics. E.g look at Turkey and Azarbaijan when India supplies weapons to Armenia. Similarly, India supplying Bramhos to Philipines and Vietnam.
