I'm a retired Naval Officer. During my professional training at Anti-Submarine Warfare School, Kochi in 1994, 1999 and 2003 there were a lot of foreign military personnel training with us. Mauritius, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and also from some African countries. Not only in the ASW school but also in schools like Diving, Signal, Navigation and Direction.

You ate right Gaurav there is a sea change in training of foreign armed forces personnel. We had in the sixties in IMA GCs from Nigeria Uganda. Nigerian GC was the ACA Academy Cadet Adjutant- a very tough heavy weight 8:06 boxing champion and could curse fluently in Hindi .

Navy fighter jets are different from airforce model of same airframes in these ways;
1)Wing structure - Foldable wings to put aircrafts inside decks of carrier.
2) Fuselage - Strengthening of body structure (fuselage) to withstand the pulls exerted on airframe when landing and stoppage through arrestor hook/cable.
3) Arrestor Hook - Mechanisms not found on Air Force versions.
4) Landing Gear - Made much stronger to withstand the slam landings on the deck and jump takeoff from it.
5) Anti-Corrosive coating - To protect airframe and critical parts from sea moisture corrosion.
And there can be many others.
