Even though Billy comes back to life later, his sacrifice was truly heroic

Billy knew he had to try and make the ultimate sacrifice. Even if it means to end his life to save the day. If only the Justice League saw that, and offer him a place on the team. Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg to train him, Batman to teach him to be smart in a fight, and Flash to teach him to case environments.
He has proven himself a true hero, just like Hercules.

More like they killed him off because they were rebooting the DC universe for the thousandth time.
Billy had no reason to believe he could be resurrected yet he sacrificed himself willingly. He truly was both pure of heart and worthy, to wield his powers.

It's a fun silly action film and it's enjoyable whether or not it's plot or structure is good or bad

Honestly, I thought Kalypso's death was kind of poetic.
She planted the Tree in the realm of mortals out of vanity, the wizard's staff was made from the tree, and by Billy destroying both her and the tree with the staff, that basically means she was brought down by the symbol of her power as well as her father.
I could be wrong in my analysis, but that's just how I see it.

I enjoyed it, and I'm a ZSJL kinda guy, but I knew going into it that it was going to be a corny marvelish movie. The fact that DC gave up what they had didn't help, but it's still an entertaining movie. If they wanted to follow it up with a Black Adam and Shazam Family movie they could, but it's not going to happen cause of how bad they performed.
This happened with the parademons, too.
