After commenting, it got me thinking--Rite In The Rain sells waterproof printer paper that you could print quite a bit of information on. These books would certainly be a lot less hassle, and probably cheaper too, but for maps and such, or if you simply can't find one of these, that would be a good alternative

These books are great for BOBs, as you said. Small, water resistant, great information, what more could you ask for? I only wish they were more widely available.

its on amazon i found it first look, but its white with blue drawings instead of green/blue. look at the cover art and you'll see :P
