beautiful, you're beautiful, as beautiful as the sun
wonderful, you're wonderful, as wonderful as they come
and i can't help but feel attached
to the feelings i can't even match
with my face pressed up to the glass, wanting you
beautiful, you're beautiful, as beautiful as the sky
wonderful, it's wonderful, to know that you're just like I
and i'm sure you know me well, as i'm sure you don't
but you just can't tell
who you love and who you won't
and i love you, as you love me
so let the clouds roll by your face
we'll let the world spin on to another place
we'll climb the tallest tree above it all
to look down on you and me and them
and i'm sure you know me well, as i'm sure you don't
but you just can't tell, who you'll love and who you won't
don't let your life wrap up around you
don't forget to call, whenever
i'll be here just waiting for you
i'll be under your stars forever
neither here nor there just right beside you
i'll be under the stairs forever
neither here nor there just right beside you - Hudba
"We will do a set of Pantera covers after this acoustic set"
James Iha
Choosing between this version, the demo version, and the album version is like choosing between your children. All are amazing in different ways.
i hate my children
@@Jeremysalsa I hate your children too.
they're all beautiful to me
@@tonyfg2001 I see what you did there.
Thank you for putting my feelings into words.
2:47 is one of the most beautiful melodies Billy has ever recorded. I love this song!
4:01 when James starts playing this ending part it's one of the most beautiful melodies I've heard
I think it can be placed next to the last part of "the miracle" of queen on greatest song endings :D
Utterly amazing. This comment deserves 10 likes and Corgan/Iha like 20.
Darcy beautiful voice
jesus.. that outro is just perfect!
please back this up and make sure it's never deleted forever! thank you
This song still fills me with love
Yeah me too.
Same here. Always and forever. :) Reminds me of being in high school and sitting in my room with my headphones wishing to be in love with someone.
Imagine having written a catalog of all these amazing masterpieces before the age 29
He sings "I'll be under your stairs, forever" in this version. =)
While I agree that there was a drop-off in quality, the Pumpkins were so damn good that a drop off for them still means they're still pretty awesome. "Stand Inside Your Love," "Ava Adore," "Perfect," "For Martha," both versions of "Try, Try, Try," "Untitled," "With Every Light," "This Time," "United States," "That's the Way (My Love Is)," etc. are still great songs in their own right.
You listened a bunch of songs that came way after 95’s double album and their best work. Not all those songs are good. “United States”? The fuck out of here.
I want a real smashing pumpkins reunion. I believe in my heart it will happen one day. Those guys were great together, they had their arguements and I know this is stupid coming from just a fan and all but I could sense something special in interviews that brought the 4 of them together I am sure they all still feel something for each other
I’m from the future, and boy do I have some good news for you.
@@SiriuslyUriah lol
3 out of 4 ain’t bad, eh?
It was meh
i believe it's still in him somewhere. that's something that never really goes away.
i'll be under your stars forever > i'll be under the stairs forever
my love ! my youth ! my life! my passion! my memory ! all the things that make me feel so alive !
I looove this song! One of their underrated gold nuggets... 'Specially the end reprise.. Oh, the feels!😊
what a godly song
he used to be so full of passion. his vocals were so inspiring. his guitar playing...so melodic. times have changed, i guess
This song was played for the first time live since 1996 last night. I hope a video surfaces of it
It’s out, but it’s not like the record and is tamer than even this one.
I'll be here, just waiting for you. I'll be under your stairs forever... 🌹
Neither here nor there
That freaking line always kills me
always thought it was "under your stars forever"
@@srt4b he sings both
favorite sp song
I would have to agree, this is by FAR the best version of this song I have heard! I didnt care too much for the album version until I brought the Mellin Collie and the Infinite Sadness tour of SPs. I have played this song to death over and over. Billy's incredible dreamy guitar riffs and vocals made this an instant fav of me. Thanks for posting this one, love this song! ^^
Thanks VoDKa!
*VoDkA
This is what I call 'beautiful'.
Should be a staple in their live shows….solid
The first thing that comes to my mind in any Pumpkins video is “wtf is Billy wearing”
this vid is one of my favs. wish i could have been there for a real SP concert. im such a 90s kid but i was too young to go to the shows. boo. glad i made NIN 5 times. he was still going yay!
I saw Pumpkins once ; nin & RHCP at big day out ; Pearl jam ; Powderfinger ; Heather Nova... they are my big memory concerts 😊 Good times. I like my decade so much more than this one...but I spose every decade feels that way..
@@lueysixty-six7300not true, I like your decade more than this 1 too and I’m 17 LOLLL
so underrated. i’m in love with this song
Still watching this! Blew my mind
Love it then! Love it now! Love it always!
More than beautiful...
The best!
love this so much :)
very great song !
this is pure love :)
so do I...I love 2:50...love SP and i´m really waiting them in Brazil...thanks by the video...love this song a lot...
Digging Billy's outfit
Great track
the best
I don't know, I've listened to Oceania, and going from that to Mellon Collie or Siamese Dream, he just doesn't flex his voice like he used to, and the musical work is very much the same.
❤️❤️❤️
Bless the soul of whoever smuggled that camera into this show then took the risk to film it.
If you’re reading this, my sneaky friend… my hat is off to ya and I owe you a drink at the next SP show we see each other at!
Que bonito, lloro ☹️☹️
SP LIVES FOREVER!
The Smashing Pumpkins have always dressed strangely, before Siamese Dream they were all a bunch of nobodies, and it's an innocent a video game.
holy shit
"We will do a set of Pantera covers." I'd kinda like to see that.
i like this version more than the cd
Ma che Bello, che Bello. Tutto molto Bello.
I so wish there was a high quality version of this available.
plays one of the most beautiful melodies i've ever heard just to finish it off with "I could pee on stage I guess"
I think the inspiration was there even for Zeitgeist, it just lacked direction, and still does.
ahah così sembrerebbe!!^^ (vecchi video che avevo caricati quì sù, ai tempi che furono, per farli vedere ad anna prima di postarli sul canale bcit ;)
but yeah I totally agree with you, it's amazing!
99 Floors, a song that's only 2 years old, really shows Corgan still has it in him... the lyrics aren't as deep as the Mellon Collie era stuff, but the talent for that softer, easy-going music is still there. Tragic that he doesn't utilize it more, IMHO.
I don't think Billy would define MCaIS lyrics as that deep
Guitarists Suck 1979, thirty-three, muzzle, and many others have phenomenal lyrics. and billy knows it
@@colin8007 well yeah, but he said he wanted to write from the perspective of a teenager from the suburbs, you know what I mean
Adore lyrics have more depth though
excellent lol
In All Fairness To The Préjudices Of The Song These Lyrics Are Priceless
They’re Truly BeAuTiFuL 🌹
Wish this was the studio version
Beautiful song❤❤
Best band in the world
@pollitorsiones Yea it is great, but the one at 2:47 is my favourite because of that mystic feel, the uncertainty of love, it just suits the song soo much. This song is probably the most appropriately titled songs in history lol
Who want in come in 60x?
Intro reminds me of MSOTS.
Anyone have a link to the Pantera covers?
@dreavilheadtz credo che fosse il tour in cui indossavano il pigiama per la prima parte del concerto
Are there other live versions?
@EMTgirl104, Jonathan Melvoin who was the keyboardist for the 'Pumpkins died of a heroin overdose apparently, and not of aids, my bad.
ma si può andare in giro vestiti cosi? che voi fa, so ameri-cani (love pumpkins :-))
slaaaave to the traffic light
absolutely sounds like a slave to the traffic light jam
Would be amazing if someone could tab this out!
slunkusa Did you ever finish tabbing this? I really want to learn it for someone
Brandon, I'm working on it too and ill post it when I'm done.
^^^^ god's work right here you legends
This version is half step lower than on the album, where is one of the 2 songs in E standard tuning
@@guitaristssuck8979 is the other Infinite Sadness?
hahaa aww :))
@fatcatbuzz no it shouldve been in the cd
12.24
I have the same shirt
what did James say about Pantera??? lol
That’s also the most hirsute he was after the album dropped…
you havnt heard oceania yet obviously
encore la reciprocal
mm I think a bear better. Billy Corgan reminds me the singer of an animated band hiting strong here in Italy not being a million dollar production. Search for SWAVE IN THE FUTURE
(dan ma sei tu!!! XD)
This bald dude is fucking great!!!
@TehZombie The original Smashing Pumpkins started off as nobodies in the first place. I don't doubt that their old material is way better than their new material, but I'm also not going to criticize him too harshly. Egos clashed in the old band, a member died from aids, and both of these factors alone are enough to break apart an amazing band. Many of us miss the old Smashing Pumpkins, but at least we have the stellar music they made before their departure. In memory of that, I'll still enjoy.
BEAUTIFUL..i bet none have you have never seen them live..come at me bro..lol, I've seen them 30 times ..suck it haters
Seen them in 2000 ;)
if billy were an animal he'd be a turtle
It was all downhill after this album, that's for sure.
Lovely Rita meter maid
how disgusting this sounds
