I'm a Rangers fan, but also recognize greatness. Vladi was as ferocious a competitor as has EVER played the game. It is that toughness that enabled him to survive the unthinkable. I'm so happy the Detroit fans continue to take him into their hearts. I also forget how tough this team was. Loved Kocur as a Ranger, but he's definitely a Wing.
Thanks! I been a Redwings fan since 1987 despite having to move to multiple different states. Gerard Gallant was #17, our assistant Captain, Steve Yzerman's best buddy - and a great player I really loved him. Hence - I'm an honorary Rangers fan this playoffs! Coach Gallant - good man. He was great player - he scored well but also he was scrappy - took on any enforcer he had to take on.
I wish the Wings would put the “C” and “A” back on the left side of the jersey again. I know it’s not a big deal and I know back in the day they used to be on the right shoulder but I just prefer the way the look being on the left side 🤷🏼♂️
Every one of those players would gladly give that Cup back if it meant 16 and the trainer didn't have that happen to them. It was such a high that first week after they finally got over the hump...but it all ended that night.
@@nba_fanboy_0425 sandstorm wore 28 that year. Homer was forced to change his number from 15 to well known 96 due to a guy named dimitri mironov, Boris’ older brother.
@@teemuki55 man, i answered a guy upper. He said, that Fedorov played in KHL in 1998, but i mean that russian hockey league was named Superliga until 2009. But, maybe, i didnt understand him)))
@@mikegrey5663 No, Fedorov played for Red Wings from 1990 to 2003 so he obviously was part of the winning team. But you meant that he was in KHL during this ceremony that's wrong too because he retired in 2012.
The goosebumps when Konstantinov entered
Man, the Red Wings really make up for all the Lions misery. What an incredibly classy, fan friendly, and winning organization.
And we're coming back baby!
It's always nice seeing Vladdy again. I remember this team so well. I can't believe it's been 25 years!
А мне приятно видеть как трибуны приветствуют Дарена Маккартни.
Номер 16 надо вывести из оборота в Детройте Константинов💪💪💪Легендарный игрок!!!Великий человек!!!

@@MPDLR: Gallant used to routinely come into MSG and literally beat the sh$t out of the Rangers!!! Love him as a coach.
From Russia with respect & love!!!!
Tomas Sandstrom he works as a firefighter here in Sweden nowadays.
Japp Fun j
He provided the last assist that ended the drought.
If I had a time machine Id stop Vladdy from getting in that lino.
If I had a time machine I’d beat the donkey shit out of that driver before he ever got a chance to get behind the wheel
RIP MIKE ILITCH! No wonder why he was not at the reunion

wonder if Konstantinov still remembers everything
I'm sure he does if not in his brain in his heart
It’s so sad for Konstantinov too. It breaks my heart seeing him like that, I wish the accident never happened for him. He could have a great career.

Great memories
What a team so many great players
Look at all these guys walking on their feetsies (and wheelies)
By far the best hockey team ever assembled
I was there!
Jamie Pushor's hair holy shit
The only problem i had with introduction. Wasn't Holmer wearing 15 in 1997???
That's true.....but 96 is still Homer.
That was before the tomas Sandstorm trade, I think.
that was my quibble too...and it's admittedly a small one...but he wore 15 the entire season

apparently my aunt dated Joe Kocur... thats pretty cool
my mom golfed with mccarty, kocur and draper
By “dated” she means hooked up with him in the bathroom of a bar down in Detroit lol
Fetisov #2 Fedorov#91
Знаешь половину ребят знаю... они нет,!С любовью ко всем и хоккею!
No Sergei?!?
Why did they miss #91 Fedorov??
I think he was in the KHL at this time and couldn't attend because of it

Two Avs fans hit dislike button.
what a pathetic franchise the red wings have become these last few years. Howe would be disappointed.
