We were born in the 70s and missed out on the 70s but we had the 90s. Even my mum said it's like the 70s all over again. The eees were pretty strong too 😂
Sat here in tears I love this track so much but never heard the live version before.... anyone who listens to this and don’t crack when they hear these strings just ain’t got a heart
There was confusion on the day as to who would headline. Originally it was Bjork then she said was gonna play early so she could watch Goldies set (they were dating) we all be came to watch her and were told she had decided to stay as headliner (no doubt contractual wrangling meant she couldn't change) so Massive Attack came on and to be honest there was a feeling if minor disappointment but the sun was setting, they had this beautiful golden light on them and they not only won the crowd over with their set, they outperformed Bjork. This track was the obvious highlight. A real shiver down the spine moment.
She didn't, she just got up and sang. Nobody nailed it back then, they just did it. I can't describe how different things were before snow flake society
@@sarcasticallyrearranged they were called massive attack in 1991, they dropped the attack from their name at the release of the single as it was during the gulf war and they thought it was insensitive
@@debbiebarrow7557 True. Deborah Miller messes with the lyrics "Like soul without a mind, like a body without a heart" if you listen closely. But she looks amazing grooving and gyrating around with that tambourine
@@debbiebarrow7557 I agrree...she is out of tune when she says "know much more"..this is the most dificult part of Shara Nelson lines...cause the thing must be in tune and out of tune in the same way...sumbtle vibrato that she is the only one to achieve imo
Last time i heard this song as a child was when it was released in 91 or so. Loved it for the beat, didnt care about the lyrics. I am soooooo happy to rediscover this masterpiece on lyrical level now after 32 years. Surreal feeling!
Fantastic intro classical and electro. I'm happy when i'm reading others comments how much this song was important in their lives like me !!! i prefer the initial singer Shara Nelson !
Released 21 years, just over half my life, ago and it still sounds as good as ever. Even this version without Shara Nelson on vocals is brilliant. Classic tune.
Amazing, Fantastic, Beautiful, Infinite Song ! One of the Most Beautifiul Masterpeiece performed by a Live Symphonic Orchestra. and Deborah Miller ! Wonderful Life !
It is undoubtedly a true masterpiece for various reasons. Maybe it’s just my own personal feelings but despite it being a completely different style and theme it has numerous only subtle but still respectful nods to another absolute masterpiece that wowed me in exactly the same way as this track did when I first heard it as young boy…West End Girls. Another one of those relatively rare songs that no matter what taste of music people were into, genuine music lovers found it very hard to dislike or criticise it.
Tener en la mano el disco de éste talentoso grupo en los 90s y que fuese original no cualquiera podía hacerlo.... Tuve la gran fortuna te tenerlo .....! Gracias Massive A. Desde Nezahualcóyotl México....
I know it's a long time since this track was posted but , hey , I have to comment. This track IS , a full on classic. Ain't rock , ain't pop, ain't classical but the absolute perfect mix of all three. Plus the folks that wrote this song had vision personified. I bet when it was finished and mixed, they had to know, WE created something timeless in the music world. And yes you did. Musical composition excellence. MARK uk
dioss que temazo. la cantante y los musicos y la intro con orquestra brillante y esas campanitas que hace el de la bateria al empezar la cancion son brutales.
the best performance i never heard from massive attack and unfinished..... This is pure, magic and unbelievable sensibility ! can't say anymore, nothig can traduce......

The 90 's were just full on. What great music and artists were around. I am in my 50' s but truly miss it.

In a body without a heart
I'm missing every part"
Listen close...she spins this around in this version
one of the most important songs of all time, no doubt
fo real...
The pioneers of trip hop.. Well done
This song will *NEVER* age. 😍
This is one of the bands that had different vocalists in every album but still remained successful in the music charts!
Tracy Thorn & Elizabeth Frazier plus Sinead O Connor!!!!!
like Alan parsons project
Probably down to Nelly Hooper being a superb producer 👌
You even sacrificed your ear in appreciation
