- In February 2020, I went to New Zealand for a week by myself. It was my first time traveling solo internationally and I had a blast. A few of the places I visited were Piha Beach, Waiheke Island, Rotorua, and Queenstown.
I was born in Mexico then lived most of my life in America and have been living in NZ for 20 years. I found heaven in NZ. After the borders open again I invite everyone to come to visit. You won't regret it. This ad was brought to you by Tourism New Zealand. Just Kidding

When I saw that blue water in your water rafting shots, I was like "para, para...paradise!" 😲 Wow, it's so stunning there! I hope to get there for my friend's wedding next year! @@samuelromeo6937 I guess that depends on what you're looking to do and how you plan on getting around. I was there for only a week so I decided to fly to each town which is the more expensive way to travel vs renting a car which most people do. If I was there for 2 weeks then I'd rent a car or van and road trip all over New Zealand. Besides that NZ isn't a cheap destination so at least a couple grand!

What'd the easiest way to get around if you plan on doing both the North and South Island? I love travelling by rail but wondering if a car might be better.
I guess that depends on how much time you have. I only had a week so I chose to fly. Driving is definitely more ideal so you can see more but it takes longer.

Were you nervous about going that far ? As it’s your first solo trip? I was told if you go somewhere solo you should start locally , but looks like you had the best time !! 😍😍😍
I don’t remember being nervous lol I just remember being very excited! I did purposely pick a country where they speak the same language as me. I think that helps a lot!!!

I just connected my phone to the airport wifi and used that to get an uber! =)

I did the photography myself =) I had my phone on a gimbal and tripod stand and then just set the timer on the camera phone.
