- We attended the first Disneyland Villains Nite. There were so many rare characters out and about, some of which have never been seen in the U.S. Disney parks before! Take a look at the 13 rare characters that came out during Villains Nite!

If they wanted to build up hype after the Kenobi trailer release, Disney could have had Darth Vader show up. People would have gone berserk (I know I would have)

My all-time favorite male villain is Don Karnage for not only wearing pants but facing off against several guys who don't. And my all-time favorite female villain is Cruella De Vil for facing off against such high maintenance pets. That said, my favorite female fur character is Magica De Spell.

The Meet the Robinsons' characters (except Bowler Hat Guy ofc) could've easily been face characters, i will never understand that decision to make them costumed characters. but since they're rarely in the parks i guess it doesn't matter lol. but Disneyland is so cool with how much they actually care about passholders and real/non-casual disney fans! At WDW it truly seems like it's all about the money for Disney with all the out-of-towners that go to those parks. i wish i lived on the West Coast!

I think itâs because either thereâs no possible way to make someone look like the Meet the Robinsons characters or since they (especially Lewis) are child characters, itâll be weird to see adults playing these characters at the parks

@@amytyrrell6010 A face-character is one that is performed by an actor wearing only makeup and a costume, not a mascot-head and limbs. i.e., a humanoid character as opposed to an animal, etc.-character. Hope that clears it up. =)
I still donât get why they have nothing for Davy Jones. Heâs literally the most popular villain from a franchise inspired by a ride. Give him a walk around character.
probably because he'd be pretty frightening, especially to younger kids. not to mention his costume is extremely intricate
@@jolliwoodstudios Yeah, I'd expect there are a few failed prototype costumes hidden somewhere for when they tried to make it happen. I bet the mechanics for his tentacles would cost the same as a fullbody animatronic.

Iâm pleasantly surprised to see that Disney bought out so many rare and obscure characters for this event, especially ones who have only appeared overseas or havenât appeared at all for YEARS.
Ratigan would be a great character to appear some time.
Iâm so glad Yokai made his US debut at this event! Iâm hoping that we can see the other Big Hero 6 team members here as well!
I wish I can see him in Disneyland one of these days As a meet and greet because heâs probably one of my favorite Disney anti-villains. But at least last year I dressed up like him during my retirement of trick-or-treating but rather entertaining. But the only works if this year on Halloween or next He might appear as a meet and greet or we can just pray for a new ride theyâll come out anytime soon. That way he and the rest of the team will make their appearance Iâm desperate.
I love bowler hat guy. He's definitely my favorite villain. Although I would say he was more misunderstood than a villain
Fun fact about Classic Maleficent: roughly a decade (Edit: it was September 13, 2013) ago my parents and I went to Disneyland for the villains night event and my mother was hoping (for seventeen YEARS) to get a picture from her. Apparently the actors/cast members weren't technically allowed to do that, but my stepdad somehow managed to tell the cast member about the long time mom was waiting. Maleficent listened to him and said "Oh that's far too long to wait darling" and got the go ahead to take pictures with my mom! Pretty cool of them to do that!
That part where Kronk pulls the wrong lever and Yzma gets dropped in the crocodile room always gets me laughing!đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł

One of these days, I want to see Jim Hawkins, Silver and BEN from Treasure Planet as a meet and greet character or even a parade/show character. Treasure Planet is the most underrated Disney movie and deserves more love and recognition cause it's almost as if it doesn't exist to Disney
I'm not saying that because Disneyland Paris is my favorite park, but we have to admit that it's still the best in terms of the diversity of its meet and greets! đđ€©
Looks like 2022 is being a great year for Disney.
First Encanto, We Don't Talk About Bruno hitting the top charts, Turning Red, Covid-19 restrictions being toned down in theme parks, character and guest social distancing coming to an end, and now this!!!
This is so cool. It makes me really happy to see these rare Disney Villains making an appearance, especially those from the Post-Renaissance Era which was the era when I was really young. Seeing Professor Callahan and Yzma made me feel really excited, and the Bowler Hat Guy is one of my absolute favourite villains!
Actually, Edgar did make a brief appearance at Disneyland. During the 1972 Fantasy on Parade at Disneyland, there was an Aristocats unit with Edgar driving a Horse and Carriage, and yes he was a face character then as well, accompanied by face characters of Madame and George, carrying their cats. They are followed by costume characters of Abigail and Amelia.

Was there for villains nite!! So much fun but they really need to make all these rare characters NORMAL! Bowler hat guy was hilarious and sadly we got denied seeing yzma due to closing time

This is a great list of villains and according to it, Jafar shouldn't have been added to the list because he's one of the most popular villains to meet in Disney Parks.
Bed knobs and broomsticks is a childhood favorite of mine. I always will seem the song at the end a lot of times when I want some fun

How do villains act in meet and greets when you act nice to them?
I'm always curious, but since I can't really go to the parks, chances are few and far in between for me to actually check it out myself. Like, someone like the Sheriff or the Big Bad Wolf. They are bound to stay in character, but they can't really be rude or mean to guests either, so I'm curious.
Characters like Lotso make it easier considering they can act nice.

I'll never understand why 'Black Cauldron still gets no love! Why not feature the (arguably) scariest Disney villain of all time; the Horned King?! (and for that matter, the Witches of Morva.) And how about some more live-action? The MCP! Judge Doom! And Mr. Dark, the literal embodiment of Evil! =)

I haven't met characters since I was a kid and the last time I went to Disney World it was overcast and slightly rainy. I hope when my sister and brother in-law finally take their kids they'll get to meet the characters, though my sister worries they'll be a little scared.

Wow! So you think the 3 kittens are named "Marie, Tah-loo and Ber-loise?" (2nd syllable rhymes with "noise.") You got Marie correct, at least. As for the boys, Toulouse is pronounced "Too-loos." He is based on Toulouse-Lautrec a French painter. Remember, Toulouse was the painter in the trio of kittens in the film. Berlioz is pronounced "ber-lee-ohz." He is based on Hector Berlioz a French musician. Remember, Berlioz was the musician in the trio of kittens in the film.
Imagine if Disney decided use the marvel villain and make a villain night with well known villains like Loki, thanos, red skull, venom, even some spider man villains,like vulture, electrio, even doctor octopus.
And some not well known ones like scream, carnage, toxic, craven the hunter, the Vernon, sworm,1000, even the zombies heroes.

Really is a shame that ENG, especially the fantastic villain duo, really doesn't get much love from the parent company. Sure, they FINALLY realized its massive cult following and actually gave us some merchandise, like 20 years AFTER the movie came out, but they should totally be park mainstays. Though they still can't decide if they want to put Yzma under the "Disney Villains" brand or not. I say her and Kronk are perfectly worthy. Two of my favorite villains right there.

I heard at some point The Coachman from Pinocchio was meetable character but was eventually pulled for some reason.

I love when characters who can be face characters ARE face characters, or more accurately I'm disappointed when Characters who can be, are not. So rare to see any villains in the parks, at least when I go.
They should've brought back Agatha at Avengers Campus, or debut a new Marvel villain. Having just Loki wasn't enough imo. Maybe bring back Zombie Captain America (unless he was too frightening)

Some of these human walk around characters are better off being face characters. But I guess they donât because the actors playing these characters would work more and it saves Disney money from hiring more actors with facial similarities.
